Where to start. Well its cheap for a reason. Rooms dirty. Shower disgusting had to wash it out before we used it. One thin pillow like sleeping on a wafer.two sharing and had to shuffle past each other just to get round the room. . Rooms damp. Very small heater in the room just to make it feel dryer. Spoke to a few guests and they said the same. Decor very dated and in need of updating. Breakfast very poor. Undercooked. How people rate this hotel as good are very easily pleased. I have stayed in some bad ones and this is definitely up there with them. Had a kettle in the room. No cups or drinks facilities Hair dryer in the room but the mirror was at the other end of the room. Fortunately I don’t need to use one.

The only good thing about the stay was the cup of tea at breakfast,Everything else absolutely shocking, will definitely not be returning. Unkempt and needs drastically updating .also very noisy.I’d rather take my chances at Bates motel!

This has to be one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in , the place was filthy, dead flies on the windowsills, dirty windowss, mouldy walls the pillows were very thin and the bedding didn’t match , the place smelt unclean as soon as we walked in , the breakfast was awful with anemic looking sausages, we asked for a glass of orange juice to be told that was for children not adults, the cereals were two large bowls one with cornflakes with a small plastic bowl to use to fill your bowl , the weetabix had no utensil so you had to use your hands to get them , my advise is avoid at all cost !

All essential needs were in place, shower, toilets, table fan, wifi, hair dryer, kettle, towels etc were present. I would say its value foer the money. If they refurbish and renovate the hotel, I guess it will cost much and attract more customers.!!! For me and my family, it was a nice 3 nights stay and with breakfast!!!!

Ignore the negatives. Yes it’s dated but it’s been about for a long time. Check in at the right time and don’t be late for breakfast and you’re golden. John is kind, generous and very accommodating. The hotel is budget friendly and in a great location-and I do mean great location! Love the breakfast and the service is brilliant. Always a good nights sleep. The kids love it here with the size of the garden, the trampoline and John is very nice to them. Sometimes he is under a lot of pressure and it’s understandable why he gets annoyed with people. Read the reviews-“I read the reviews so wasn’t expecting much”….don’t complain then! 😂
