Hotell Höga Kusten

Super cosy and calm hotel. Very nice view of the bridge and water from any of the rooms and restaurant . Recommend the walks on the island, we did a short tour in the morning with the kids and the view was breathtaking! Also loved the Christmas decorations.

Great hotel and great service. The room was clean, and the bathroom was newly renovated featuring finely-scented products from Rituals, a delight for the whole family. The location is also ideal at the gates of the Höga Kusten World Heritage Site. We attended whilst I was running Höga Kusten trail, and with 25 minutes to Friluftsbyn and the possibility of bus transport on the morning of the race, this hotel worked great. They even started breakfast an hour earlier than normal to accommodate runners!

We booked one night at this hotel because of the reviews of the views and to be honest we were not expecting much apart from that, however we were so wrong! On arrival you really can't not be blown away by how beautiful the view is and how well situated the hotel is. We are a couple with two Huskies and you always wonder just how dog friendly a hotel is but I'm glad to say this hotel was very friendly. All its rooms have a view but the rooms that dogs are allowed in are on the lower floor and open straight out on to the grass. The room was actually of a good size and had a sort of hall area where you could place all your bags and belongings out of the way. The bathroom was lovely and both the room and bathroom were very clean. We dumped our stuff and went straight out walking the clearly marked pink trail above the hotel and boy the views were spectacular! We were also lucky enough to have snow so it looked even better. It was on this walk that we decided to book in for an extra night, which we did. There is a special area in the restaurant for people with dogs so we ate in the restaurant both nights and I've got to say that the food was outstanding, I very much recommend the reindeer as it was superb. Breakfast was also served in the restaurant which again was lovely with a big selection. We were so lucky on the second night as the clouds cleared and since we could go straight out of our room onto a small patio and grass we got to see the aurora! Just an amazing hotel and stay!

I have gone on a solo hike trip to explore the höga kusten area for the first time. I've stayed at this hotel for two nights. The rooms looked kind of dated, but the bathroom was renovated. The restaurant had a great selection of beers, an interesting menu for everyone and the waiter was not only very polite but also very knowledgeable. He was making my trip the most pleasant it could have been. I was impressed by the effort he would put in to satisfy customers. I have tried the massage chair and the bookable sauna (reserved for you for 1h). Even having a refreshing sauna beer was no problem. If you want to add the outdoor jacuzzi, that would have costed extra. All in all, the surrounding area is amazing for hiking, offering easy to medium trails, 3km - 7km. Nature around here is simply stunning. The food is delicious -- try the reindeer -- and the beer selection offers local lagers to IPAs but also known other more common beers

Great hotel with friendly staff and a good restaurant. We brought our dog, an Akita, who was well treated. Rooms on ground floor with magnificent view facing the bridge have small terrace which was perfect for relaxing in the sun after a long day of hiking.

My roadtrip is getting better and better. The room is perfect, the view from my room is AMAZING and small things like the bottle of water and a small bag of chips made this hotel perfect. Ok, I admit it - I loved everything! Nothing to complain about - I will be back!
