We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Drew and Alison are helpful and welcoming hosts. The room was clean comfortable cosy and well equipped with good views across the Loch and marina. There is also a guest lounge to use. Alison's breakfast are really tasty with ample choice and set you up for the day. It's in an ideal position for touring the Cowal peninsula. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location with wonderful views across the Firth of Clyde. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Easy parking at the front of the property. Lovely room with nice en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Plenty of tea, coffee, fruit and herbal tea, biscuits and sweets in the room. Plus a very useful fridge with cold water for guests. Breakfast choices continental and full options ordered the day before and were of lovely quality, especially the homemade marmalade and jams. The hosts have taken great care to ensure that their guests are comfortable throughout their stay. We throughly enjoyed our stay at Montague Villa and highly recommend it 100% as a wonderful and convenient place to stay while visiting Argyll and Bute.

Great location, around 2 miles from Dunoon but busses are regular and there is a small village shop. Alison and Clive were fantastic hosts. My friend and I were greeted on arrival and shown around before being left to settle in. We were not disturbed but felt welcome to ask if we needed anything. Whilst the room was small, it was comfortable, clean and had a huge amount of storage with spotless en suite so not at all claustrophobic and the view was beautiful. I’m a vegetarian and was not left short of options for breakfast which was freshly cooked and beautifully served with so much attention to detail. The breakfast itself was probably the best I’ve had. My non vegetarian friend agreed. Would definitely return. Such a lovely little place. Thank you for a great stay. Aimee & Jo

Excellent B&B thanks to great hosts, very clean and comfortable accommodation and a tremendous breakfast with home made jams!. Very friendly, ample parking and a good taxi service to local restaurants. Highly recommend and will definitely return!.

A wee gem of a guest house Absolutely superb, warmly welcomed by the host, shown to my room and informed about the facilities. The room was very nice, warm and comfortable. Enjoyed a very good sleep. Breakfast was amazing

We highly recommend Montague Villa. Drew and Alison were welcoming hosts and the Lewis room provided the perfect place to rest after an active day exploring local attractions. Although on the main road the traffic noise was minimal and virtually nil overnight. The room was thoughtfully furnished and all necessities were at hand. Alison has anticipated every need and provided it before you’ve even thought you need it. Small touches like binoculars in the room to look across the loch are examples of the efforts Alison and Drew have gone to, to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfasts were flavoursome and plentiful, with plenty of choice. Also provided is a guest lounge for those that want to enjoy a comfortable evening in homely surroundings.

My friend and I stayed at Montague Villa back in September. We arrived a little late, but our host was just as welcoming as he could have been. It was obvious that Drew and his wife had paid attention to every detail in making their guests comfortable, right down to a guide they created with information compiled for local businesses and activities and how to use the shower (something that seems to be different in almost every lodging we stayed). We occupied a twin room, which was small but very clean and cozy. I especially appreciated their attention to breakfast. We were given a list of items offered in a traditional Scottish breakfast and could pick and choose the foods we wanted so as not to be wasteful. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Montague Villa is beautiful and Drew & Alison are spectacular hosts. We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was fantastic, the bed was so comfortable, and the shower had perfect temp/pressure. Everything was perfect. This is truly a hidden gem.
