Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hayward

Place is located inthe center of Hayward so you are at close proximity to all restaurants, stores. Location is great. As far as clean I cant say it is. I usually inspect all things in the room and as I was looking at a sheet on the bed I saw brownish faint stain. I took off the sheet off the bed and sure enough right on the mattress pad was a big sh*t stain (human feeces). How could a cleaning lady put this on the mattress. Just plain lazy not to take the pad off and wash it. I was so grossed out by the whole Hayward visit. Thank god there was 2 beds. Disgusting. Their breakfast is mediocre but doable. My husband reported the dirty sheets and pad and they comped us for one night stay. Its the only reason I gave it 2 stars. No one should pay $275 a night and find human feeces on your sheets. People are lazy and the workers dont care about your stay. I came up to a cleaning lady while staying there asking for toilet paper and she told me $1. Shes supposed refill that after cleaning the room. Why would I pay $1 its in the services provided for the $ I paid. Everyone that is staying there should check the matress pad and sheets to make sure they are sanitary. Unless things change I really dont see myself staying there.

If you’re looking for an actual hotel in the Hayward area (as opposed to a motel, short-term rental, etc.), you won’t find a better place than this property. This place is outstanding! I’ve stayed here multiple times and I’m always impressed each time I visit. The hotel has everything you’d expect in a Holiday Inn Express, but it feels more like a local lodge. It honestly may be the best Holiday Inn property I’ve seen. I want to give a shout-out to Gwen at the front desk. She has been the one working when I’ve checked in for my last few visits, and she’s great. She goes the extra mile to make sure things are going well with the room, and she provides very friendly service.

Didn't look like, sound like, nor feel like a Holiday Inn (Express or otherwise), but it mostly certainly was a Holiday Inn, and we thought the better for it. The different colours changed the external look, though not radically, but the super high vaulted ceilings and eaves inside made for a much lighter, airy and spacious feel. Nice change ! Great outlook over Lake Howard & nice breakfast area and Rooms just like usual completed the picture. Staff - warm, friendly and helpful Price - always want a Discount or a little less, but don't we all. Overall - 'Very Good' is spot on Thank you one and all

Checked into a beautifully renovated hotel with gorgeous lake views. Paddle boats and bicycles available to rent, playset, games, fabulous pool. Resort feel for sure! Walk to the amazing Mexican joint next door. Check in late and you're in for a treat if Gwendolyn is at the desk!

10 star ⭐️ Everything was beautiful,clean,comfortable,The lake view out our window amazing! The private patio out our slider window was wonderful The breakfast delicious! The beds very comfortable! Peaceful & quite too. The lobby and it’s north woods furniture was inviting. I seriously can’t say enough if you have to travel to Hayward this is the place . I travel a lot I was pleasantly & happily surprised! Great job to this hotel chain

I've been to various Holidays Inn's across WI but this one in particular caught my eye due to it's outside structure, log cabin appearance. And the inside had the same style. It was beautiful! The room (king w/ added space) was clean, spacious and comfortable. Pool area was big. Property was picture perfect. Walking out to a lake. It was cold when I visited so I didn't get to enjoy the outside. Staff are courteous. I received a text ahead of check in, stating my room was available. Check in was less than 2 minutes. Also received a text just checking in on my stay. Check out was smooth, just used my phone, left keys in room. Already planning my 2nd stay for spring!

Beautiful hotel decorated in Northwoods style - cozy and warm. The lobby has plenty of comfy seating and a game room overlooking the lake. Appreciated that coffee was available throughout the day. The breakfast has a good variety of delicious hot and cold items and the area is kept clean and food options kept stocked by a lovely couple. Our room was laid out well and appointed with cozy fabrics for sofa/pillows and Northwoods artwork. The bed was comfy and the shower was wonderful (after a day of skiing)! Enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker in room. One of the best hotels in which we’ve stayed.

Very welcoming retreat in the north woods. Located on the lake shore with beautiful views, Looks newly remodeled with a country theme. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast was an added plus. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent facility, exceptionally clean with an extremely courteous staff. This hotel is situated on a lake with a great patio to sit and enjoy the weather. I would definitely return to this hotel if we're back in the area. I highly recommend this hotel
