After having stayed 3 nights at La Chiave dei Trabocchi I confirm, with some reservations, the positive notes read in some reviews which led me to choose this hotel for a short holiday. -The location of the hotel, close to the beautiful cycle and pedestrian path, is negatively affected by a very busy road where the pedestrian crossing is close to a semi-curve, so crossing on the pedestrian crossing is paradoxically more dangerous than doing so from a distance , especially in the evening, given the speed of the vehicles on that stretch. -The structure is pleasant and quite well-kept (the external common spaces on the ground floor could be cleaner). -Room 524 (lateral sea view) which I occupied, having not found availability for the one I was looking for, has dated furnishings. This aspect is specified at the time of booking. The lock on the access door is faulty, despite changing the key. The assignment of rooms like the one I occupied, on the 5th floor, (sea front or side sea view) is at the discretion of the reception staff at check in, based on availability. The customer cannot choose and I think this method is questionable. -The breakfasts are rich and varied, however, I did not appreciate the absence of tablecloths on the table. The napkin and dishes positioned directly on the countertop (previously cleaned with the sponge cloth) are unusual in a four-star hotel. Fully positive aspects of the hotel concern the swimming pool, the restaurant and the acceptance of dogs even in the common areas.
