B&B Villa Dolomites Hut

This must be the best place to stay in St. Vigilio, for small families like ours. The location is great - albeit not central, but St. Vigilio is not big. There are several good places to dine within an easy walking distance, a well-stocked Spar supermarket an bakery not much further on. The public transport is reliable and frequent. The price to stay is reasonable. The hut is itself is a lovely wooden building at the edge of forest, tastefully furnished by antique furniture. The owner, Giulio, together with his wife, are very welcoming, and he is always available and helpful if anything needs to be fixed or simply to advice what is worth seeing in this interesting corner of the Dolomites. Special mention deserves the rich and tasteful breakfast, is certainly highly recommended! The only downside may be the unreliable Wifi connection, but we came for holidays, not doomscrollinng ;-)

I recently travelled here for a short stay and I can't praise it enough. The location is right in the centre of several incredible hiking areas. Nothing was too much in terms of service. As my stay was out of season, there weren't many restaurants available but they took their time to call and make sure I had places to go. Breakfast was perfect before going out for long trips and always on time. As a solo traveller, I fully appreciated how much they made me feel welcome and provided all the facilities I needed.
