It was a bit cold when we arrived at night. There was an old-fashioned fireplace in the room, but it was useless. Mainly, it wasn't that cold yet. The hotel room faced the Pacific Ocean, and the scenery the next morning was beautiful. Very close to Herts Castle and the place to see elephant seals.

The room is a bit old, but the staff who received the check-in were very friendly. The scenery and location of the hotel are very good. There is a walrus beach 10 minutes away by car, where you can see a large walrus.

I have been staying at the Cavalier for over 40 years. It is unique on the Central Coast because it is a large property that is actually waterfront (the upstairs "Terrace" rooms are so close to the ocean that you can't see the beach when you're in bed - only the ocean). Hotels on the popular Moonstone Beach in nearby Cambria are not waterfront - they have a road between the property and the beach. Plus the staff - from the front desk to the maintenance guys to the staff who brings room service in a golf cart - are all great. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience. Got a free room upgrade to oceanfront and sparking wine bottle with my ******* status. Front desk staff is very friendly. I found my place to relax when driving pch again, will definitely book this place again

Becareful when you book your room make sure its the correct room and the older part of the hotel is terrible echos and you hear everything we went back to front desk and upgraded definitely worth it but property was nice and quite after a great weekend.

Really enjoyed the oceanfront property. It was a little concerned about the cleanliness of our room seemed like it was not clean from the last person just tidied.
