Booked a two queen bed room. Comfy bed. Good hot shower. Overall pleasant stay for overnight stop in San Simeon.

The Morgan Hotel is a comfortable hotel, perfectly situated for visitors to the Hearst Castle. The room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable, and amenities adequate for an overnight stay. The breakfast was basic but appropriate for the price.

Very decent hotel. Has breakfast and the bed is very comfy. Only downside is that it does not has AC. Room is clean and fantastic.

Very nice hotel. Adorable historic vibe with plans and details from Hearst Castle throughout. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean. Had ocean veiw one night. Nice fireplace. However one of the rooms I stayed in didn't have the ability to turn on heater. Or maybe I just couldn't figure it out. It was very old gas style furnace. Still warm enough with fireplace. I stayed twice in one trip and would definitely stay again. Be aware they do not have an elevator to the 2nd story.

The room rate is complete, the facilities are clean and tidy, and the overall situation is good. The scenery nearby is very beautiful. I will book this hotel again next time.

It is indeed very convenient to book a hotel on Ctrip, but it is also very troublesome to cancel the reservation if there is an emergency. In other words, if you encounter an emergency, there is no way to cancel the reservation. The original plan was to drive 2 hours from Monterey to San Simeon on Highway 1. As a result, sea fog started to rise at 2 pm on Carmel by the Sea, so we hurried to get on the road. We had already passed Big Sur, but we found that the road was closed, so we turned back to Monterey. There was fog all the way. Visibility was very low, and it was sunset, and the sky suddenly became dark. We were worried about driving safety, so we kept contacting Ctrip to cancel the hotel and change to a nearby forest hotel. Ctrip said that it would give me a reply whether it could be refunded at 21:50 at the latest on the same day. When we saw that there was no definite news, we changed to Highway 68 and took Highway 101. It took 5 or 6 hours to get to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, it was already time. We were very tired. The experience was extremely poor. Ctrip's information is relatively lagging, and it cannot solve problems for customers in time. This is an area that we hope to improve.

The hotel we stayed at on the second day of our 3-day trip on Highway 1 is about 10 minutes away from Hearst Castle and Elephant Seal Beach. The hotel is two-story and there is no elevator, so it is a bit difficult to carry luggage, but the front desk will ask you in advance which floor you want to stay. Dinner was at the Mexican restaurant in the middle of the hotel. The dishes were large and tasted good. The hotel provides breakfast, which is basically everything, including fruit, yogurt, coffee, bread, and boiled eggs, which is pretty good.

The hotel is named in honor of Morgan, the famous designer of Hearst Castle. There is no elevator, so it is troublesome to carry things upstairs. But it is very close to Hearst Castle, very convenient.

The room is large and comfortable, the environment is great, the hotel is in a great location, right next to Highway 1 and close to the sea, about seven miles from Hearst Castle, the best choice for self-driving on Highway 1

There are not many hotels to choose from in San Semion, so I booked this one. I don’t know how other hotels are like. The Morgan has no elevator! This is very important because we brought a lot of luggage on our road trip. Secondly, there are few choices for food. The room is not very clean and the bed feels like it has not been changed. It smells a bit fishy. The advantage is that there is a fireplace and heater in the room, so you won’t feel cold. The Mexican food next door is very large and tastes good, you can consider ordering it.
