Reception at check in was a disappointment, everything else good. Did not avail to the facilities offer so cannot comment

We always choose the Catalonia hotel chain whenever we can, and it never disappoints. Our recent stay at Hotel Catalonia Donosti was no exception. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, living up to the high standards we've come to expect. The exceptional service we received, especially from Itxaso and Olatz at reception, deserves special mention. Despite our early arrival, they promptly provided us with early parking access and arranged a ready room for us since our reserved one wasn't available yet. The hotel's location is stunning, perched atop a hill with breathtaking views. The convenient elevator access to the lower street is a great feature. Although we forgot to inquire, it appears the hotel might have repurposed an old chapel or ecclesiastic accommodation, adding to its unique charm. Overall, Hotel Catalonia Donosti is well worth a visit. A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay memorable.

Hotel was nice. Easy to find and has parking, albeit costs extra. Service at reception and bar was good. Has a lovely roof terrace pool overlooking the bay area. Nice to go up for pre dinner drinks and watch the sunset. A nice addition to have a separate corridor that leads onto the main street level rather than have to go all round up the hill. Pity the window was very small to appreciate a sea view.

This hotel is among my favorites ever on travel. The room was large, clean and I cannot say enough about that shower. It was huge and the water pressure was the best I've ever had in a hotel. We had a Triple room which ended up coming with 3 single beds so that was nice. I went on a vacation with a girl friend of mine and we always had plenty of room. The hotel is very close to everything you need without being in a super busy area. We walked to Old Town almost every day and it was an easy walk. Even in the rain. There are plenty of coffee shops and Pintxos bars very close to the hotel as well. Now - the pool. After the shower, the pool was my second favorite thing about this hotel. It's on the roof, it's not large by any means, it's not even deep, but the views…. You can see everything. It was relaxing, refreshing and the pool was just enough to get cooled off and then get back to your chair to enjoy the beautiful view of San Sebastian. We walked around town all morning or went on half day hiking/biking tours then came back to enjoy the pool before cleaning up for dinner and drinks at night. I'd go back to this hotel JUST for the shower and pool. The hotel bar was very nice as well and everything was easy to find and get to within the hotel. And I must say that I always felt safe, even walking back to the hotel at night - as two gals on the town. Obviously keep your purses and personal items close to you at all times but I never felt unsafe. It really is the perfect location.

3rd visit to the hotel and found the same high standard as previously experienced. Speedy check in by friendly, helpful staff. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Appreciate the secure underground parking. Always my choice in San Sebastián 😊
