I booked a classic room, not in the main building.
But the website does not explain this situation. The other rooms in the main building are more beautiful and feel more upscale, like a hotel.
The classic room type is like a B&B, not like a hotel. It is a few steps away from the main building. The classic room type has two rooms and a common living room. You have to share the living room with the guests in another room, although the living room is basically not It's...but it doesn't feel like a five-star or four-star hotel at all. Although the hotel staff are polite and the service is very good, I just feel unsatisfied with this room here and it doesn't meet my expectations because it's just like staying in a B&B.

For breakfast, you have to walk to the place opposite the main building of the hotel. It is not in the main building, but very close...
In the photo, you have to go up a few steps to enter the room behind the door. Outside the door is the common living room.
To lock the door, you need to pull the key out of the door key position (the power will be completely turned off), then you can lock the door. After locking, put the door key back to its original position...

This is a great hotel….The hotel is old,but clean and fresh. The staff are very professional and friendly. The Rooms are well appointed quiet,and cleanThe garden area is beautiful,and the pool is nice..And to top it off minibar prices are reasonable ! 3 E u for a beer. The restaurant looks good,but we only ate there for breakfast. As with a lot of these hotels, there are steps and no elevator, but the staff would help if you needed it. This is one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed at. There may be larger, more modern or even more luxurious hotels, and there will be cheaper hotels, but this hotel is perfect for tuscany. Our room 2nd floor main building .

My husband and I stayed at the Palazzo Capitano Hotel and our 22 year old son had a room at Medieval Village San Quirico d'Orcia B&B for 5 nights. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and attentiveness was outstanding! The Hotel was excellent and the B and B was wonderful. Beautifully decorated rooms with fantastic bathrooms. The breakfast had a great variety and the staff was always accommodating. The Trattoria for dinner has outstanding food as well as atmosphere. The Genovese family, the entire staff, and specifically the 3 sons work hard to provide a memorable perfect experience for their guests. On top of all that, the San Quirico d’Orcia location is beyond scenic as well as convenient for exploring some of the most beautiful areas in Tuscany. We had an unforgettable amazing experience and cannot recommend the Capitano Collection enough!!!

From the minute we arrived for our 4 night stay we were treated like family. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Location was perfect and close to all the towns and great wineries we wanted to visit. Marco, Laura and Sara (massage) at the resort were wonderful and wanted to meet our every request! Hotel gardens are beautiful. Service was perfect. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very unique and special. The village just a minute walk from the hotel has so many great shops and restaurants. We will definitely come back to Capitano Collection as our go-to Tuscany resort every time we return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel in the lovely little village of San Quirico D’Orcia. This is a family run boutique hotel. They take pride in making sure their guests feel welcome and have an enjoyable stay. Lorenzo, Marco and all of the staff went the extra mile in doing things like giving us a tour and history of the village, organizing tours for us, making dinner reservations and even picking us up when we needed a ride back from a hike! I would recommend this hotel as an enjoyable stop for anyone desiring a relaxing stay away from the crowds, enjoying the beautiful Tuscan landscape.

Lovely hotel in a picturesque setting. The hotel had very kind and helpful staff who arranged out transfers as well as helping us arrange some time at a spa in an neighbouring town after we were tired from finishing a long section of the Via Francigena. Excellent breakfast as well! Highly recommend the entire operation.

The hotel was just perfect for the experience we desired, and the staff was very accommodating. We also loved the restaurant and the location. The architecture of both the hotel and the town was something we appreciated. We did have an issue with the spa, which is amazingly beautiful, which they were able to resolve.
