I booked a classic room, not in the main building.
But the website does not explain this situation. The other rooms in the main building are more beautiful and feel more upscale, like a hotel.
The classic room type is like a B&B, not like a hotel. It is a few steps away from the main building. The classic room type has two rooms and a common living room. You have to share the living room with the guests in another room, although the living room is basically not It's...but it doesn't feel like a five-star or four-star hotel at all. Although the hotel staff are polite and the service is very good, I just feel unsatisfied with this room here and it doesn't meet my expectations because it's just like staying in a B&B.

For breakfast, you have to walk to the place opposite the main building of the hotel. It is not in the main building, but very close...
In the photo, you have to go up a few steps to enter the room behind the door. Outside the door is the common living room.
To lock the door, you need to pull the key out of the door key position (the power will be completely turned off), then you can lock the door. After locking, put the door key back to its original position...

Dear potential guest, I was here and enjoyed excellent food wine sevice combined with harmony in the Garden behond the entrance. All personnel was kind and stressless, the breakfast gave me a feeling of sitting in my own kitchen served by friends wh wanted me to have the best possible start of the day, the small town is exciting and can also serve as a base for daytrips to Siena and other old places represented nearby. We stopped by in this pretending good hotel listing a lot of comforts , but we realised that the room paid was very small with an old uncomfortable mattress and a vintage tiny bathroom/shower. They offered us a drink, but at the garden the boy could not accommodate us in a table because could not move a chair from another table. We left and coming back we found a better waiter. The spa is somewhere else, difficult to reach and use. Not very useful. The worst experience was the restaurant service. We arrived at 7.30 after they said we could go and find a table for hotel guests, but they could not accommodate the 4 of us with a kid because a pretending owner said we did not book in advance. In advance when? There were plenty of empty tables, but they could not manage the empty table without a booking. Then the pretending owner with no sense of respect for clients said it was not her business if a I bad mother did not book in advance a table at the restaurant. Quite Rude, isn’t it ? Should this lady work at the entrance of a restaurant? It is clear the lady does not know how to behave with clients and I do hope future potential clients will look for a better location to stay in San Quirico d’Orcia until the property of this hotel will learn how to behave with this kind and business.

Nice hotel, nothing to say, well located in the center of San Quirico d'Orcia with a swimming pool, a spa, and a nearby restaurant. The parking is few minutes by food. All splendid? Not really because I have to report the theft of my watch. It was Thursday August 1st when I saw it last time. That day we went for a tour late in the morning and I left my watch in the room. We closed the room with the key. Who took it? Mysterious! Unfortunately we didn't immediately realise that something was missing. However I have no doubt the last time I saw it was that day. Unfortunately the hotel employees were totally indifferent when we asked them to investigate which employees entered the room, and some advise on how to solve the problem. The fact that there were no cameras didn't help, and it is not a good score for a 4-star hotel given the reception is not 24 hours attended.

I went for a solo trip. The hotel was excellent. It’s a great place to unwind / relax/ read/ cycling. Very friendly & helpful staff. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The food was very good. I can’t fault a thing at this place. I strongly recommend this place.

This was the most wonderful stay in the small village. There are great staff, great locals and restaurants. There is plenty of places to walk to for wine, pizza, gelato and the hotel itself has an incredible restaurant. We already can’t wait to come back!

The hotel is definitely not worth the price. Its glory years are long behind it. We advise against staying at this place. The photos do not reflect the reality. You can see the lack of supervision and the savings being made. Coffee displayed in the room, which in any hotel of this class is free here is for a fee of 2 euros. Ridiculous.

It is in walking distance to the village but outside enough to enjoy silence. The rooms and the hotel are absolutely astonishing and the staff is extremely friendly. We went here for a few nights on our honeymoon and we booked a deluxe room (32 square meters) with king size bed. The bed was the best I ever slept in and the room was so good we felt bad going out on day trips. :) For a reasonable price they arranged a very nice romantic setup for our first night.
