I wish we could give this place 6 stars, we truly had an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed our three nights immensely and would absolutely return in a heartbeat. Upon arrival, Mariana took the time to walk us around the property and at each turn was another breath taking view. We enjoyed relaxing at the gorgeous pool and an attendant was constantly checking to see if we needed anything (including our welcome drink we enjoyed lounging by the pool). The room we selected was extremely spacious and overlooked the pool and spa. The couch was a great place to enjoy a drink and the bed was extremely comfortable. We almost felt like royals with the decor and fancy furnishings. A few things to dive into further: Breakfast. The options for breakfast seem endless and everything tastes so fresh and homemade. I barely needed lunch we indulged so much during breakfast. We enjoyed meats, cheeses and a whole array of breads, along with fresh fruits, rotating pastries (croissants, muffins, etc.). It was probably the best breakfast we had during our two weeks in Italy. Special shout out to Luca, the master of pretty much everything at the hotel! He was our waiter in the morning, worked at the bar the night before. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and just an overall gem of a human being. We loved chatting with him about his family and the local area since he was from the area. Dinner. Our compliments to the chef. Everything was just singing on our palette no matter what we tried. We started with the burrata and tomato appetizer which was so fresh. Even something as simple as their breadsticks were the SO flavorful and the best we tasted. For our mains, my mom got the homemade egg tagliatelle with ragù sauce and I got the gnocchi special in a homemade red sauce. Both were phenomenal. Our waiter, Lorenzo, paired our meals with wines which were the perfect accompaniment. It was a little on the pricy side, but given how delicious everything it was highly worth it. The spa. Please I beg of you, if you are going to try anything at this wonderful hotel, please try the spa. Irina is an angel of a human and so incredibly passionate about what she does and it shows in her work. I’ll be honest I had never done the sauna / ice bath experience and was a bit of a skeptic. Irina walked us through exactly what each benefit was to each service and then you essentially get the spa to yourselves for an hour. I went with the “relax” option and my body felt so wonderful after this spa treatment. It was so good we went back everyday. We also had booked a massage and Irina provided frankly the best massage of my life. I felt like a new woman leaving there, Irina really tailored the massage to my liking and I could have cried tears of joy walking out, my body was relieved of all the tension and knots that come with traveling. My mom has some trouble with one of her legs going numb, Irina not only provided her with a cream to stimulate the area but my mom left her massage i

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights at the beginning of May 2024. An excellent boutique hotel in a great location with a beautiful, picturesque view. All the staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful, answering every question and recommending a visit to a stunning winery. They were eager to help and provide the best possible experience. The breakfast and the winery were excellent, with a picturesque view. This wasn't our first time traveling in the area, but there's no doubt that next time we won't look for any other hotel to stay in besides this one.

Il Miraggio has to be one of our most favourite hotel stays, anywhere in the world! This is an absolutely stunning property, handled with care and the kind of service that makes you feel truly special. My husband had injured his ankle in Rome and hence we had very little mobility and spent 90% of time at the hotel, they were amazingly accommodative and caring! The rooms are beautiful, the staff (special mention to Lorenzo and Lucca) is very friendly and helpful, the food is fresh and delicious, the spa is blissful! The views from this hotel are stunning and we were treated to many a wonderful sunsets ! They also arranged a wine tasting and lunch for us nearby. Please note- taxis are very very hard to come by and most people had their own cars, Overall, an absolutely wonderful stay and we can’t wait to come again !

Wonderful small hotel in Tuscany wine country, Convenient to major roads and about 3-hour drive from Rome airport. The rooms are nice and very clean, the grounds are beautiful with spectacular views of the Tuscan hills. Just outside of town (5-minute walk) with several restaurants and within 30 minute drive of several of the busier "more famous" Val D'Orcia towns. The staff (thank you Lorenzo & Luca!) is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent and the dinner was very special. Suggest you book ahead for dinner and check on the menu, as the food is excellent but due to it being a small restaurant, the choices are limited. Very attentive to gluten free for all meals.

As part of our Tuscany road trip, we picked this property in advance for a night stay. Let me tell you that this property is just amazing. The minute we arrived we were treated so well by all the hotel staff. Luca was incredible in sharing suggestions about the wineries we should visit, as well as a great restaurant for dinner and how to arrange our itinerary. Everything he suggested turned out to be top notch, the winery, were we had Nobile di Montepulciano, and the cherry on top, the restaurant for dinner. The property has a permanent fragrance that just exudes class. Rooms are amazing, a piece of art, with a sleep quality top notch. It includes breakfast, which served an awesome coffee (yes, espresso for me) some of the best croissants all with a beautiful view of Val D'orcia. Didn't use the pool, but the area is amazing. When in Tuscany, spending time in Val D'orcia, stay at this place!

This is, without a doubt, my favorite place I have ever stayed. I wished I had planned my stay to be much longer. Our room, Tintoretto, was elegant, roomy and comfortable. The property is beautiful and exactly what I had envisioned for Tuscany. The service and staff were top notch from beginning to end. Every need and most wants were anticipated and everyone was very attentive and seemed to know what I needed without me having to even ask. (I forgot to get a spoon for my yogurt at breakfast and before I could get up from my chair, Marco brought me a bowl of spoons.) Antinello is very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure our stay was fantastic.  Every staff member I encountered was very attentive and helpful and I give everyone of them 5 stars, from check-in to check-out. We had dinner there one of the two nights we were there and I wished we had eaten there both nights. Every course was delicious as was the wine suggestion. I loved the cheese cake presentation and no, I did not misspell cheesecake ;) I highly recommend Il Mirragio and will definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Il Miraggio 4 nights and we had a lovely time. The property is really beautiful, with great panoramic views of the valley. The hotel is elegant and refined and we loved the big old fashioned bathtub in the middle of the room. The pool area is wonderful and so are all the cute spots where one can seat and admire the view. We also loved the SPA where we had a wonderful massage. The staff is extremely kind. We entrained in lovely conversations with Felice, the owner who is really charming and attentive to his guests. We definitely recommend this place for a lovely vacation in Tuscany. Val d’Orcia is a true corner of paradise. Virginia, Marisa,Sofia and Emma

I can't say enough good things about Il Miraggio in Val d'Orcia! This was our second visit to this charming boutique hotel (our first stay was Oct 2022) and we're already planning our next trip back! We make the trip to Italy every other year, and dedicate a significant amount of time to finding the best luxury hotels as we are seasoned and particular travelers. For us, it's all about finding the perfect combination of location, luxurious accommodations, cleanliness, quality bedding, and amenities such as a spa and restaurant - Il Miraggio has all of these and more! Our initial stay in 2022 left such a lasting impression that my husband was more than willing to return to Italy solely because we would be staying at Il Miraggio. And let me tell you, even if the owners decided to double the room rates, it would still be an absolute steal for what you get. I'm not exaggerating one bit. One of the things we love most about this gem of a hotel is its perfect location. It's just a short 5-minute walk to the charming town of San Quirio, which quickly became one of our favorite places to explore. It's the ideal blend of countryside tranquility and city accessibility. The hotel is also close to Pienza, Montalcino (15 minute drive to each) and Montepulciano (25 minute drive). The beautifully decorated bar, where you can enjoy an aperitivo before your dinner in the wine cellar, is a definite highlight of the experience. The food at the restaurant is excellent - so good that we had dinner here four out of the five nights of our stay (and we regret not eating there every night!). The service was also exceptional - Antonello and Marco are true professionals! Dinner in the wine cellar is a real treat, adding an extra layer of elegance to the whole experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable with all the expected amenities - robe, slippers, Ferragamo toiletries. Each room is unique - we stayed in Vasari last year with a king bed, free-standing bathtub and unbelievable tiled walk-in shower. This time our room was Brunelleschi with a king bed, large bathroom, separate sitting area and an outdoor seating area with views of the spa, pool and countryside. I had two services at the spa (massage and facial) and both were incredibly relaxing - Cristina is great! Last year I took a cooking class which was fun and educational. They also arranged a wine tasting for us in nearby Montalcino at Podere Le Ripi which we loved. We've had the privilege of staying at many luxury hotels during our travels, but Il Miraggio simply blows them all away. The level of service and attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel's operation is truly remarkable. Il Miraggio in Val d'Orcia is not just a hotel; it's an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a slice of paradise in Italy that offers the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and culinary delights, this is the place to be. Trust us, you won't regret it.
