This was my third time visiting Sassa al Sole. We first visited in October last year, viewing it as a potential wedding venue and we fell in love. I visited again in June this year with my mum and she also fell in love. On the 4th-6th October 2024, we had our 3 day wedding celebrations here and it was everything we could have ever dreamed of. The venue is absolutely stunning, the staff are amazing. It has the most beautiful views and everything is so clean. It will always hold such a special place in our hearts. I can see on the previous reviews that people mention the lqck of food and drink available on the evening- this is true but there are fantastic options in the nearby town of San Miniato or even down the road at Casa Masi. You just need to know this in advance as it is a smaller boutique establishment. If you are looking for a romantic and quiet break in the Tuscan countryside (ideally with a car) or the most insane Italian wedding venue, then Sassa al Sole is for you. We cannot wait to return.

We stopped over one night on the way to the Chianti region. The hotel is very odd, there is no real hub as reception is tucked away, there is no bar or lounge and the restaurant only serves breakfast and light lunches. It feels like a corporate wedding venue decorated in the 1970s. It is spotlessly clean, the night watchmen who showed us our room was delightful; but when we arrived at 9.30pm the whole place was deserted. There was no where to get a snack or drink. In spite of billing itself as a spa, this is closed on Mondays. Breakfast is fine.

Staying at Relais Sassa Al Sol has been truly memorable ! Breath taking views, beautiful accommodation and brilliant personnel. Everyone was so considerate, helpful and welcoming and the gardens and roses are lovely ! A marvellous stay.

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!! We went to see Andre Bocelli and we found the Relais Sassa Al Sole Hotel & Spa for our overnight accommodation. This was such a great hotel. I wish we had more time to stay. Hidden in the beautiful hills of the Tuscany area. So peaceful, breathtaking views, and the grounds were absolutely beautifully and wonderfully maintained. We so look forward to staying again while spending more time the region.

Amazing property in an amazing location (up a hill next to a horse farm and olive trees). Pool and flowers everywhere. Only inconvenient us having to drive out for dinner.

What a great place! We stayed here for a full week and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. The room was spotless and well presented. We hung out at the pool every afternoon. What a beautiful pool. Breakfast was great every day; Anna and Antonella were the stars there! The property was run by Mariella and Ilaria who did an impeccable job. The entire stay was splendid ! I would highly recommend spending time at Sasso e Sole !
