What a wonderful place. Very comfortable - super clean. The rooftop was amazing. Nadia the cook made great individualized fresh breakfast every morning. Fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, pastries. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. Able to leave luggage after checkout for a late transport to airport. Location was perfect - 5 minutes to Jardin - yet quiet.

I highly recommend this hotel! The staff were delightful, and very helpful. It is on the edge of the old town so slightly quieter probably than others, with a lovely entrance path filled with plants. There is a lovely roof garden with chairs and a great view. The rooms are not big, but interesting and have everything you need. Ask for one of the two top ones for the best views. Probably best of all were the communal breakfasts (excellent, including eggs etc) where we met many interesting guests. There is a car park about 70m away, which is not cheap but very convenient.

The pick of the hotels of my Mexican odyssey. Nadia and Jesus were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The star of the show was the rooftop terrace. The views were so stunning that I had to force myself to leave to explore the town. And I tweaked my second day in San Miguel de Allende [SMdA] in order to have a lingering thirty minutes on the terrace before leaving SMdA.

I was going to stay there reserved through booking they never cared to let me know they canceled it I called them and very rude they simply said we are full and youre payment didnt pass, went the next day and the rooms are pretty tiny Tried to complain with a manager how they just canceled us without even calling and they never gave their face

The location was absolutely fantastic! The staff were attentive and helpful. The daily breakfast was absolutely a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed the time getting to know other travelers and always enjoyed a delicious, authentic breakfast. The rooms are small with thin walls, and the beds are not the most comfortable. However, we truly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Just finished a week-long stay at Casa Maricela. The room was plain but lovely and comfortable. The staff was engaged and quite helpful. The location is superb. And the included breakfast was delicious, with choices of eggs, pancakes, fruit and more. And the price for all of this pleasure is incredibly reasonable. Don't be nervous - enjoy!

I was really looking forward to staying at Casa Maricela, based on the recommendations of friends and on this site. I booked a room, and was excited about my trip. And then one day, about 10 days before the trip, I got a text alert that my booking was cancelled. No explanation. An impersonal email came later, saying it it was cancelled for "lack of availability." I understand that those kinds of things happen, but it would have been nice if they would have at least offered to book me elsewhere and make up the difference if it was more expensive.

Very well located (250 meters from the central square). Very nice, cozy, clean, modern facilities, it has a terrace with an unbeatable view. The rooms are nice, very comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. The host and the staff are friendly. They serve a delicious and very varied breakfast. 100% recommended!!!
