Eagle's Nest Atitlán

My first solo international trip was magical because of Eagles Nest. Nestled in the mountains of San Marcos Lake Atitlán, this space was magical by both nature and attention to detail. My room was a reflection of my teenage princess fantasy come to life in the least Disney fashion. I felt like I was in a treehouse with adorable natural surroundings. I woke to birds chirping and roosters crowns with sunlight pouring through my stained glass window in the Fox room. This resort offers a variety of yoga classes and workshops along with community events like Mayan Fire Ceremonies, live music, and a majestic sauna & cool plunge . The food and staff are outstanding. San Marcos town is an easy walk or tuktuk down the mountain. I highly recommend spending a day or two exploring Hippie Highway. My favorite restaurant was Shambalah for fancy mocktails and crepes. Must see the Natural Reserve and take a swim or kayak. Other villages are a short boat taxi away. This place stole my heart in a time of deep inner healing. I’ll be back sooner than later to refresh & renew my connection to spirit through the energy and beauty of San Marcos and Eagles Nest.

I had the greatest time here. I’ve already started recommending Eagles Nest to everyone I know. Food was great, views spectacular, all staff was friendly and helpful, loved the yoga classes, loved the sauna/cold plunge. 10/10 experience! One thing I will say, if you’re looking to stay in the Colemena house on the property, prepare to be woken up by neighboring dogs on the next property over. But it wasn’t than bad you put in ear plugs and go back to sleep. I was there on a solo trip and I had a great time and made some friends. I will definitely be coming back!
