Our money was stolen by the staff! Unfortunately, our stay at El Pacifico was far from ideal. After the first night, we were moved to another hotel within their chain, named "Oro," due to severe water problems in our original room. The water issue was so bad that it was coming up from the bathroom floor. Upon arriving at the new accommodation, we placed our belongings in the room, securely locked the door, and went out for about 2 hours to grab a bite to eat. During this time, we counted the money inside our passports. Upon our return, we discovered that money had been stolen from our bags. This was evident as a note hidden in my passport was inexplicably on the ground. Despite hiding our money in various places, a total of $80 was missing. This experience significantly affected our overall satisfaction with our stay, making it a disappointing one. We immediately noticed the loss of money and reported it to the manager. He assured us that an investigation would be conducted, and we would be kept informed of the progress. However, until the checkout, we heard nothing, and the mystery remained unsolved. Even after expressing our concerns online, we received no response from the hotel. The lack of communication and transparency regarding this issue increased our dissatisfaction. Leaving the hotel without any response or follow-up left us disappointed and unsatisfied. The hotel's lack of responsibility in this situation significantly impacted our experience.
