We stayed at Nabitunich 2 times. One time before going to Guatemala and the second time after our return. We were happy to go back to Dominic, the owner his cottages as for our purpose and exploring the area of San Ignacio there is no better place to stay. The cottages are nice and clean and have everything you need. The farm is peaceful and has beautiful views over the mountains. Dominic is guy you need. He will do everything he can to help you and give you all the info you need. The local breakfast is plenty and very tasty with plenty of excellent coffee. ( or tea of course) Surplus : you can order a tasty dinner at a very economical price. Simple but delicious, just what you need. Also an opportunity to meet and talk with the other and Dominic. We travel a lot but this one is price/quality a 10/10. Thank you Dominic !

The place was simply gorgeous, the stone When was Rustik but very comfortable had air conditioning and had everything you needed I love animals, so this was just my kind of place baby kittens at breakfast time love it sheep goats, horses, roosters chickens, everything The meals were fabulous. If you have the option get the ad on meal plan breakfast were great. The dinners were exceptional, but the best part of this place was Dominick. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting his wife or son, but he was the best host anybody could ask for he was wise beyond his years, was full of information and was a real joy to talk to if I come back to san Ignacia With my daughter and grandchildren. This is the place I would stay it's perfect.

Dominique and Rebecca are wonderful. The place is absolutely beautiful. Perfect for relaxing and a good starting point for exploring the surroundings, e.g. San Ignacio, Xunantunich, Caracol, ATM Cave etc. We had a unforgettable time at Nabitunich!

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B located on mile 76 Western Highway near the Guatemala border. Dominic, the host was gracious and warm. If you stay, the bfasts and dinners are delicious and a great way to save time on hunting for food in town. We were lucky to meet friendly and fun guests also staying at the farm.

After leaving the nearby Black Rock Lodge, we ate lunch in San Jose Succotz, visited the Xunantunich archaeological site, and then made our short way to Nabitunich, "The Stone Cottage". Later, during our pre-arranged dinner, we were greeted by the farm's unnamed cats, and by Dominick, the owner. During dinner, he sat and chatted with us about the farm, the B&B, local history, and us. Dominick was amazingly well informed about the American political situation, asked penetrating questions, and was a gentle, very wise soul. Only half jokingly, I suggested that Dominick be appointed the next Secretary-General of the United Nations. Our two rooms were in a single small structure near the dining room and veranda. The garden area outside the rooms was filled with beautiful flowers, trees, and other plants. The rooms had functioning air conditioners, interesting lighting, a comfortable bed, a coffee pot. Our particular building looked like it had been a livestock structure long ago, but was quite nice. Birds were abundant in the trees and farm fields around the B&B. My brother in law walked down to the Mopan River, with the Xunantunich site visible on the other side. At night, we watched in fascination as a stream of leaf-cutter ants carried their harvest down and across the walkway. The next morning, we went back to the dining room for the complimentary breakfast, and after Dominick chatted with other guests from Guatemala and Mexico (speaking Spanish), he came back to talk to us. Pulling up a chair, he asked us about our work (all retired now), and listened carefully while my wife talked about her work in biotech. Again, he asked well-considered, penetrating questions about her work. The internet was down across Belize when we left. We had intended to pay with credit card or PayPal, but without internet, neither worked. "No problem - we'll catch you later" was his response. Fortunately, we were able to take care of it a few days later, once again with a very pleasant exchange, this time with his wife.

The views of the hills and farmland from our cabin were lovely. You can even see the top of a Mayan temple from Xunantunich! We enjoyed hiking to the river, looking for animals, relaxing, playing with the dogs, and visiting Xunantunich. We saw tons of toucans just outside our cabin, and a howler monkey by the river. We stayed in a standard double room cabin. It was pretty nice and included a private bathroom with hot water. The breakfasts were good, but the dinners were a bit hit or miss. Despite advertising on their website that they can accommodate vegetarians, we were mostly just served the sides from the meat meal, which didn't include any protein. For example, one dinner was just fries and tomatoes. Dominic was a very friendly, helpful host. If the vegetarian dinners were more thoughtful, this review would be 5 stars.

Situated on a farm, this 250 acre property is close to the main town of San Ignacio and even closer to the ancient ruins of Xunantunich (you can see it from the farm with a clear sky!). Surrounded by flowers, lush vegetation, and a beautiful river just a short walk on the property, Nabitunich is about as peaceful as it can get. It is also a great base to use if you are interested in heading to Tikal in Guatemala, or, the rest of Cayo. We were greeted by the owner Domenic, shortly after our arrival, and served a nice dinner on our first night as well. Domenic is so down to Earth, knowledgeable and friendly. If you need help planning anything during your stay, he has many contacts and knows the areas extremely well! I met a lot of people during my 12 days in Belize, but, he remains my favorite. I enjoyed chatting with him in the dining hall during dinner on a nightly basis. Marta, Maura, and the rest of the staff were always in good spirits and willing to help in any way that they could. The included free breakfasts were massive and such a great way to start our days exploring the San Ignacio region and Cayo District. You will run into dogs and cats on the property so if this bothers you, just be aware. I love animals so it just added a little extra pleasure to our stay. Magnolia, one of the dogs, will likely follow you around to help guide when walking around the property on your way to the river. Such a good pup! Room #3 will forever be my friend Ana's favorite room, Domenic! LOL ;-) Thanks to everyone at Nabitunich for making our stay so memorable. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area and if I ever make it back to your beautiful country, I will definitely be returning here! All the best to you guys moving forward. Jeff and Ana (the crazy Canadians)

Dominic and Rebecca have a true "getaway". The Bed & Breakfast is tucked away off the beaten path comprised of 10 cabins and a central dining area. The farm is alive with Mayan culture. The stories and history Dominic provides is truly remarkable. He is a master of providing a laid back experience. Breakfast every morning was delightful and he was able to accommodate pescatarian diet. he even remembered my partner's banana allergy. The communal fridge always stocked with beers, soda and wine. You even have a group of dining kitties to keep you company. The other travelers we met were all wonderful with stories of their experiences while in Belize. The path down to the river holds a bounty of jungle animals and adventure. We even had our own tour guide "Magnolia" sweetest pup ever.
