Good points, room very nice and clean. Bar and pool staff very good. Dinner OK. Amenities also good.
Not so good, receptionists abrupt and unwelcoming, we were told to see the bell man to organise a lift to the airport and he just left us standing at his desk organising about 10 suitcases and then walked off to deliver them to various rooms. We went for breakfast at 05.00 as it says on room information and was told when checking out it opens at 05.30. We had a flight to catch and make our own way to the airport so no breakfast.

This was our first time in Costa Rica and this hotel was a great start to our adventure. They had the shuttle from the airport and beautiful accomidations. Breakfast was fantastic! We escaped the cold in Ohio to come to warmth and luxury!

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Barcelo San Jose this Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms and high quality service. Excellent property and very convenient to USC activities. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm.

The room is very spacious, with one bedroom and one living room. The decoration style is old-fashioned and makes you feel like you are at home. The airport pick-up and drop-off service requires reservation, which is a very considerate service. Breakfast was also great. There is a Japanese restaurant on the first floor of the hotel.
