The photos are slightly different from the actual situation. The comfortable dormitory photo shows towels, but there are none in reality. In addition, the description of the room type is confusing. The comfortable dormitory should be a bed in a four-person room, but the description and photos of this room type will make you mistakenly think that it is a single room, with a price for one person. In fact, this room type is the same as the standard four-person room below, but one is the price for a bed and the other is the price for a private room.
The bathroom is in the room with a bathtub, but I guess no one uses this type of dormitory room. The water in the shower is too small when taking a bath.

The locals mentioned the place was very dangerous before I walked in. I decided not to stay there after I booked. The surrounding area is not all that great either.

Location is good and price is good. Price includes free parking so we can walk to central market and national theatre so it’s great

Great stay at this place. They staff was INCREBILY nice and helpful. They were very accommodating. The surrounding area is not that great but none of downtown San Jose. It was very close to the children's hospital. Great value for the money! My only compliant is I wish they would have had more of a breakfast selections. I was there for almost a week.

The property at first appears aesthetically clean in pictures, however the shower had poor water pressure, one of the beds had dirty sheets and we had to change it ourselves with 2 flat sheets, pool was not clean so we could not go in to enjoy it. No amenities such as soap, hand towels etc were provided. Staff however was very friendly, there is also a gated parking lot which made it really safe along with the police station across the street.

Property is okay; it needs some maintenance and lack of attention to details. The room was priced accordingly. The restaurant offers a limited menu and many of the options were not even available. The staff is super friendly.

The staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, the pool was out of order when we were there, but it looked like it would’ve been a nice thing to use. The room was very simple and it could have used a safe, but other than that it was quiet, comfortable, and the AC worked well.

I hate to say that I wont recommend this place but unfortunately thats the case. The prices for the rooms and conditions are fine but the prices for food and small extra services are too high.
Furthermore the neighborhood is not nice to walk in - it isnt safe at all. You can walk out during the day but I almost wouldnt recommend it alone, even then. And at night you should use an Uber (however I think thats common for most for SJ).
Please be aware that the neighborhood isnt safe before you book. If you are okay with this I can recommend it.
