My husband and I recently booked what was advertised as an all-inclusive stay at Bel Air Sunclub Hotel in Cabo San Lucas through ******* for June 27–July 1, 2025. Sadly, this trip turned into a major disappointment. Upon arrival, there was no receptionist at the front desk. After waiting several minutes, a staff member redirected us next door to the Krystal Hotel to check in—strange, but we complied. After a confusing hour-long check-in process, we were told that although we had booked through *******, our package was not all-inclusive, and we would need to pay additional money for food, drinks, and amenities. We were shown a reservation under a completely different name, even though we provided our valid ******* itinerary and proof of purchase. Despite our efforts and multiple attempts by ******* support to contact the hotel, no one was available to assist. We eventually checked in just to avoid being stranded, only to be denied access to basic hotel amenities, including beach towels and the pool. We were treated as second-class guests because we "only paid for breakfast" (which we did not—it was sold as all-inclusive). The room provided was not in the main hotel area but rather what felt like an off-site residence, far from the beach and amenities. Worse yet, we saw other guests experiencing the same scam bookings labeled "all-inclusive" being downgraded on arrival unless more money was paid. This appears to be a pattern, not an isolated incident. We checked out early and found another hotel that actually treated us with the respect paying guests deserve. As frequent travelers, we’ve stayed all over the world and have never experienced this level of misleading advertising, poor customer service, and blatant disrespect.

This place is a gem. It has the best staff I have ever encountered in an all inclusive resort. Many thanks to Julian ( poolside waiter) for going above and beyond for my birthday. Our favorite restaurant was the Grill. Not everyone can go there. It depends on what package you have. Their breakfast of eggs Benedict is amazing. The buffet was okay. Definitely try the omelette and the crepe station they have . Avoid the hotel gift shop. If you go across the street from the Bel Air check in to the hotel, press PB in the elevator. This will bring you to the floor with a pharmacy on the left. Much better prices on sunscreen, etc. You can get a lot of controlled medication over the counter as well. I got lidocaine 10% gel for my mother's knees. You can order food by the pool. The fish tacos are out of this world. The Bel Air rooms had a crappy shower pressure and heat. The room was a little banged up. It did have a full kitchen with the suite but no cutlery or dishes, except a few glasses. I would totally recommend this place for the hospitality, amenities and price. Hope to go there again next year! The whale watching from the resort rooftop bar was amazing 🤩
