El Encanto Inn & Suites

I want to start off saying this place is ultra cute. The grounds are beautiful & well maintained. The room we had was just ok. There was a smell to it & but it was clean. It was ok for 1 night. What really upset me was the fact I had a pair of running shoes stolen. I had travelled in them that day & as soon as we got settled in I changed into flip flops. The next day we checked out & somehow missed packing my runners. I noticed a couple days later, as I needed them again for an event, they were left behind. Right away I called the inn & was told to call back so they could ask around. I did & then was told again to call back so they could ask someone else. After waiting all day I did & they said they weren’t there but they would look into it more & email me. My husband was also in contact with them by email & they stated that I must have them in my luggage. I know 100% they weren’t and I accidentally left them behind. So needless to say, they got a much bigger tip than we bargained for. Hope you guys enjoy my shoes!

The hotel is in a nice location but right on the street so you'll hear traffic noise people talking and there's a bar down the street blasting music till 2:00 in the morning so don't expect to get a full night's sleep unless you're one of the people that are out carousing all night

Lovely little Inn in the Art District of San Jose del Cabo. Friendly staff, lovely pool and the restaurant next door Habanero's is great and will deliver food and drinks poolside! Rooms poolside were perfect and convenient.

This hotel is a charming and delightful, old world boutique hotel right in the middle of San Jose Del Cabo. The rooms are very clean, the bed very comfortable, and the furniture nicely chosen in good taste. I love that our room opens out onto the area with the pool. At this time of year I didn’t see anybody use the pool as it is quite cold, and the weather is not enough to heat it The gardens are nicely kept and have some fascinating sculptures and other accent pieces. What would I like to see to make this charming hotel even more appealing? It would be great to have more shelf and storage space. Apart from one small chest of drawers, we were basically living out of our suitcases. It’s a small grouse but the coffee machine for morning coffee is pathetic and barely supplied one cup of coffee of any strength. But a redeeming quality is the excellent coffee and breakfast restaurant right across the street! This hotel is not for someone who likes the large all inclusive hotels, but someone who needs to be in the centre of this charming town, where the action is, and who likes quiet, relaxing, and tasteful surroundings. There is a restaurant, run separately, but attached to the hotel. We were happy to dine there the first night. But then we wanted to explore, the many excellent restaurants throughout the city.

When we were offered ear plugs and told that we had to go to the annex up the street, we should have bailed. When I asked to stay in the main building, I was told that we couldn't stay stay there, for reasons that are unclear to me now. The main building's gardens were charming and the restaurant next door was great; however, if you are not certain that you will be staying there, do not reserve. The noise from the bar next to the annex was so loud that at 8:30, knowing the music could go on until the early morning, we ended up leaving for another hotel. We didn't ask for a refund, but should have.

(Posted via google too) Stayed early January 2023. My friends and I were placed on the second floor of their annex building. The location is great and the rooms were nice but there was one problem: there is a bar right next door that randomly bumps music until 2am. It was difficult to sleep. We complained to the front desk and found out that this is an occasional issue. The people at Encanto Inn listened to us and quickly found a different spot for us to sleep. Our complaint was also passed up to the owner, Blanca Pedrin, who personally met with us. Blanca actually stayed in contact with us throughout our trip to make sure that we had a pleasant stay at the Inn and in the area (e.g., she gave us some great recommendations). Would definitely book with them again!
