Everything is nice Homeless people make little sacary at night

This hotel was just perfect for our stay in San Francisco. It is in a fantastic location in Union Square so close to the BART Powell St Station, Cable Cars, Macy's and Westfield Shopping Centre. Everything you could possibly need was within a few minutes walking distance. The hotel offered bagels, fruit and yoghurts each morning pretty basic but sufficient to start the day. Coffee was available throughout the day in the lobby and there was a coffee machine in our room. Sadly the restaurant was not open during our stay I think the hotel has recently had new owners. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming, taking time to chat and give advice on local attractions how to get there etc. We had a double room which was spotlessly clean although not serviced daily however we did not need that, towels were changed every other day but we did have 4 sets for the 2 of us each time the room was serviced and coffee sachets/pods were available in the lobby so there was no real need for a daily service. We had a safe in our room, hairdryer, iron, WiFi was great. Storage lockers are available in reception for luggage if you have a late flight, we used these and on return to collect were invited to help ourselves to coffee before setting off on our journey, guest satisfaction seems to be a priority. The area is a little noisy at night but we weren't really bothered by it. There are a few homeless people opposite and a few yards up the road but they didn't bother us, some would say hello but never asked for anything, they are human after all. Overall the Bijou was just perfect for us and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a great one.

No way to contact the hotel. All phone numbers are out of service or go to a different business . Very unprofessional

Rooms were nice. But my main concern was the area. I was travelling with two teenagers and they felt frightened by the group who congregated opposite the hotel shouting and screaming and obviously on *****. When we left there was a homeless man lying on the floor by the entrance. I know there is a big homeless issue in the city which is not this hotels fault, but we did need feel safe.

Room was compact and clean. The staff was great. Two issues: 1. The area is very noisy all hours and felt unsafe with rampant illegal drug use. 2. Doesn’t seem to be full time security which this hotel absolutely needs given the location. Someone tried to enter my room midnight one night

Extremely loud room—people screaming outside and loud music. No earplugs. Tried to shorten my reservation and got ghosted by support. Ended up staying elsewhere and unable to get a refund. Support copied and pasted responses. WiFi in the room is also bad. Do not recommend

Westfield shopping mall and Powell Station metro/bus stop are just around the corner. Amazing location. Classic hotel that offers contactless check-in. Our room was modern and elegant. We really enjoyed staying here. Tip: use the Sonder app to make a reservation! You'll get a lot better rates in the app than on any 3rd party website.

Great hotel. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Elegant building. My room was spacious. Clean. Nice furniture. Fast Wi-Fi. Perfect location in the heart of SF. I often stay w sonder around the world bc it’s always twice the value for half the price. Highly recommend
