Room was clean. Service was very mediocre, and the staff were not very friendly and lazy

Lovely hotel in great location for san foca and exploring locally. Staff were excellent, very attentive and helped us arrange a pasta making class in a nearby Masseria Cinque Santi. There is a beach club close to the hotel that was €30 for two, it was lovely and you could charge food and drink back to the hotel. The hotel also has tai swimming pools. The rooftop one which had sea view has to be booked as there is only space for about 10 people. We were there in June and it wasn’t too busy. The offer valet parking for €20 a day which we used but you could park nearby. Food there and drinks were really nice and close by to other food places too. Alessia on reception spoke to us about the Masseria and was really helpful in arranging - we drove there and had the best experience of our holiday at the pasta making class and tour of the working farm. We also had great massages in the spa one evening which were so relaxing and spa facilities were lovely too. Would recommend and would go back.

We paid for 11 nights, 15-26 September in advance but only stayed for two nights from 15-18 September. It was not the retreat or relaxing luxury break the hotel website led us to believe we would enjoy given it boasted elegant and stylish facilities, its own private beach and invited guests to enjoy being indulged and pampered in its spa. When we arrived, we were informed that the beach club had closed for the season. We had selected this hotel because of its luxury facilities and location on the beach. As the weather in September is usually still very nice, we thought the fact the hotel had its own beach restaurant and beach was a big attraction. To be advised that we could not even visit the beach restaurant for lunch was a huge disappointment and not flagged at the time of booking. We consider that if key facilities are not to be available during certain times of the year and will adversely impact a booked stay this should be made clear in advance - not after you arrive after travelling some distance to get there. We recognise the hotel can’t be held responsible for the unseasonably poor weather we experienced and understand that three beach itself was not able to be used. However, we were led to believe the beach club was near to the hotel but it is not and is some distance away, which is also not made clear on the website, which gives the impression everything is on site. The advertising and hotel website depicts tranquil beaches and the rolling greens of the golf course but also do not show that the main road into San Foca runs directly in front of the hotel between the hotel and the beach, therefore Seaview rooms are subject to significant noise from the road. The hotel is just not geared up for poor or mixed weather during the day, which given the facilities it boasted it should be. The only place to relax during the day is the Spa, which needs to be pre-booked one day in advance and then can only be used for 90 minutes. Also, the limited sun loungers around the pool also require pre-booking, which make spending your days here is anything but indulgent or relaxing. We made a choice to leave to salvage our holiday. Our advice stay away.

This is a beautiful resort across the street from the sea. As I entered the resort, I felt an immediate sense of calm. The ambievence, lighting, staff - were all very "there" for me. My stay was great. The room was super comfortable, the view of the sea incredible, the spa...well...I am just starting to come back to life 4 days later! Dominico in the restaraunt, in the morning was super attentive - to everyone! I think he speaks several languages. The breakfast bar had all sorts of items in addition to having bacon and eggs (and other great items) available. Anna and Frederica provided the best spa treatments that I have had in a long time! The spa area was so clean, comforting, and relaxing. Would have received 5 stars if it weren't for the fruit flies that enjoy wine about as much as I do. In addition, they need a supply of "larger" robes - one size does not fit all.

My husband and I traveled to Puglia in September 2024. Our trip began with two nights in Matera then on to the coast where we stayed at the Posia Retreat and Spa. We booked a Deluxe Room based on the sites’s inviting and simple photo . Unfortunately the room in reality was far less desirable with an industrial mostly concrete view. We upgraded at an additional $100 per night to a sea view room which was lovely. Important to note is that while the Posia boasts in its brochure of an outdoor heated infinity pool it is false advertising . In warm weather this is likely not an issue but in cooler weather in order to have access to its only on site heated pool , which is located in its spa , you have to pay an additional cost of $90 per person per day for that access. A room charge already at $500 a night with such an additional cost feels like “ nickel and diming” and is unbecoming of a property that would like to be viewed with elegance. Included breakfast was generous and staff was helpful.

We booked to stay at Posia since we were looking for a sea view and beach access. We paid extra for a sea view, which was partially blocked by the roof of the reception below. When we checked in, we discovered that there are extra charges for beach access. The beach is in fact 400 metres away from the hotel and either a walk along the road .or a wait for the shuttle The two pools are small, the rooftop pool is so small that you have to book space in advance. The staff were unfriendly and gave us such a bad feeling that we felt we could not have a relaxing vacation at Posia. We therefore checked out after one night. Not surprisingly based on the attitude of the staff, they refused to give us a refund. We were nonetheless happy to leave. I was only sorry that I had not read previous reviews of the place, and then would have been warned.

Very clean, modern, boutique hotel with 2 pools and situated across from the beach. The vibe is causal/hip, the staff is very gracious and accommodating. Great complimentary breakfast but the lunch and dinner restaurant menu is limited. There are causal seaside type restaurants nearby. The highlight is the spa which is really fantastic with knowledgeable well trained therapists. My massage and facial were both exceptional. Definitely a must during your stay.

This beachfront property in San Foca is absolutely lovely. We booked for two nights at the end of our two week trip to Italy with the idea of relaxing on the beach after lots of sightseeing and it was absolutely perfect. The level of service at this hotel is excellent and something I wish many of the high end hotels in the US would return to. I would say there is an average of two hotel staff members to every guest. The hotel is very modern with beautiful, spacious rooms and bathrooms. We were on the second floor with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. There are two pools, one on the rooftop with and one on the first floor at the back of the hotel which was nice the day we arrived as it was windy and that one is sheltered more from the wind. There is also a pool at the spa but we did not visit the spa during our stay. We dined in the restaurant the first evening for dinner and the food and service were fantastic. We also elected to include breakfast each day in our stay and it was top notch. In addition to a huge spread of pastries and fruit, there cooked to order options from the menu included. And as with everything else, the service was quick and delivered with a smile. We also spent a day at their club, Mora Mora. The service was on point and the water and beach there are beautiful. It looks like the Carribean sea! We did not have a good meal at the restaurant there, however. We both ordered the tuna poke bowl and it was not good. The tuna was quickly seared outside but the inside was not cooked (as expected) and the color was not normal -gray brown instead of bright pink. It also had a very fishy taste so neither my husband or I ate it, fearing it may make us sick. We did not say anything to the waiter (my husband will never send food back!) so I'm not sure what they would have done, and the waiter did not comment on the fact that neither of us ate anything. The town of San Foca did seem a little sleepy and there are some storefronts that looked to be closed but we were there before the "season" started so that may be the reason. The hotel itself is everything we expected and more. I can't over state the wonderful service we received from Alessia and the other team members. I would highly recommend this property and hope to return.

My friend and I loved this modern, chic, clean hotel in San Foca. It is located on the water with gorgeous views from the rooftop (that has a beautiful infinity pool). We paid a bit more for a room on 2nd floor with sea view & with it. About a 5 minute walk from the “Main Street” of this quiet seaside town. 40 minute walk along the sea to the Cave of Poetry. For breakfast get the Salento egg dish! Lovely staff.
