Tumunan Lodge

We enjoyed a short break at the Lodge. We stayed in a cabin but dinner in the Lodge every evening. Home made wholesome food and a great selection of local wines, including some of the house vintages. A fishing trip on the river was organised and some lively walks in the mountains. We had a good time and enjoyed the sensation of being up in a remote mountain Lodge. Sadly a bit too cold to take a dip in the large pool.

Approximately a 2 hour trip from the Santiago airport and you arrive at this mountain oasis of calm. A small lodge where your needs are attended to in a professional and kindly manner by the Lodge owner himself. Great food cooked in-house daily with fresh local ingredients and served in the main lodge. Breakfast lunch and dinner available every day of your stay. The lodge has its own vineyard and serves their own wine and also other local offerings. Their recommendations on pairing wines with meals was very helpful as well. Nice easy private walking trails through the vineyards are available as is a large fresh water pool for your enjoyment. Will arranged a fly fishing trip with a marvelous guide named Boris who was very knowledgable and a great instructor and guide. He also arranged a horseback tour of the local mountains which we loved.
