We have stayed at this campsite before and had a lovely, relaxed experience, so we were very much looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this year was completely different and left us deeply disappointed. To begin with the positive: the bar staff were absolutely fantastic – as always. They are unique, genuinely kind, and attentive people, and their service couldn't have been better. It's clear they are the heart and soul of the place. However, the rest of the experience was far from enjoyable. There were ongoing construction works every day, with constant noise right next to the facilities, which made it hard to relax or even rest. This completely ruined the peaceful camping atmosphere we had previously enjoyed. We also noticed a very unpleasant attitude from other campers – cold, unfriendly, and, in some cases, downright rude. The vibe this year was tense and unwelcoming, a stark contrast to the calm and friendly environment of our previous visit. The worst part came on our last morning. Although we had paid a high rate to stay on our pitch until 10 AM, at 9 AM we were already being pressured to leave – not just by the incoming guests and other campers, who even stepped into our pitch to rush us out, but also by the reception team, who absolutely should have known better. It is unacceptable for a campsite – or any hospitality business – to pressure guests to leave before the agreed check-out time. The check-in for the next guests wasn’t even scheduled until hours later. We felt harassed, rushed, and completely disrespected. The reception's behaviour was especially disappointing – they should protect their guests' experience, not contribute to unnecessary stress. Overall, with the exception of the bar, the atmosphere was stressful and uncomfortable – exactly the opposite of what a campsite should be. We left feeling unwelcome and extremely let down. Sadly, we will not be returning.
