We love the Dana! It’s our favorite place to stay when we vacation! We love the kayak rentals. The views from our room are amazing. The staff is so kind and friendly and they’re dog friendly!

We only stayed at The Dana 2 nights however we would stay there again. The room was nice and clean, the grounds with the pools and the docks were nice to walk around and everyone was helpful and friendly.

Great Location 5 min from SeaWorld San Diego, 5 min from Mission Beach by Uber/Lyft. 25 min or less from airport. 22 min from Birch aquarium. Kayak and paddle boat rentals behind hotel and 10 min walk from Mission Bay

As far as location, this was perfect for our Sea World and beach trip. There is a free shuttle to take you to Sea World, which made it convenient.
The rooms were nice, but we had ants in the bathroom. If you don’t like hard pillows then I suggest you bring your own. You are charged a daily parking and resort fee, which I wouldn’t have minded had we actually been able to park right in front of our room. Unfortunately when we came, there was a Rolls Royce and Bentley event happening at our hotel where we could not park on our side and had to park our car clear on the opposite side of the hotel, which took 3 trips to bring our bags to the car. No discount on parking for this. It almost felt that they did not value any other guest when it came to this event.
We paid the extra money to stay somewhere nicer and overall I felt it wasn’t worth it.

Would not stay ever again or recommend under any circumstances. If I could go back and refund the wasted money here and spend it at a motel and some fine dining, I would.

The green space and view of the Bay was excellent. The place needs some updating. The bathtub did not work for a bath and the lights constantly flickered.

Nice property, perhaps slightly overpriced for what it is. Some features are not obvious, e.g., the room had a refrigerator and microwave that I didn't even realize were there for a few days because they were in closed cabinets attached to the dresser.
Kind of noisy. Be aware that it is very close to some of the airport departure lanes, so there is some noise from aircraft.

The room, the staff, the pools, the grounds were excellent. Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff was so friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellently prepared but the cost was too high to make it a convenient place to eat if you wanted to stay in or if wanted a quick meal on your way out.
