Villa Sant'Andrea

This place. We were breath-taken. We only stayed one night which was an error in hindsight. One room had a terrace in which we enjoyed our complimentary wine. It overlooked a great view of Tuscan countryside. At check-in, we received a warm welcome. Later, we drove over to the pool where we took a dip and savored a gorgeous sunset. The room was spacious. My only complaint was that my bed was not very comfortable. We also dined at the on-site restaurant and had a great meal there. I absolutely would return.

My family of 4 stayed at Villa S.Andrea for 4 nights in August. There are several farmhouses where the apartments are located. We were at Podere Perticato. Our apartment was on the second floor and had one bedroom and a sofa bed. The sofa bed wasn’t that comfortable, but it was fine for our stay. The bathroom was nice and spacious and it was one of the best showers we’ve ever had! The kitchen had an induction stove and microwave and it was quite well equipped. However, a measuring cup as well as salt, pepper and oil would be nice for guests to have to prepare their meals. Outside there was 1 washing machine and 3 drying racks for 7 apartments. It was clearly not enough and some guests put in load after load. It would’ve been nice to have our own drying rack in the apartment. The pool is lovely but unheated. Lots of lounge chairs around. Pool towels would have been a nice touch as our bath towels were often wet since we used them for the pool and after showering. The villa is a 30 minute drive from Florence and San Gimignano and 1 1/4 hours from Pisa. We had a nice stay and would recommend it to others.

My family and I stayed here for 1 night on a road trip from Como to Siena. It was the perfect treat from staying in Agriturismo’s, and from the moment we arrived we felt spoilt. There were light refreshments offered on arrival, which were very much welcome after a long hot car journey and they even arranged a short cellar tour and tasting for us, which was wonderful too. The location of the villa (we stayed in the B&B) was perfection, with the most incredible Tuscan countryside views. The room was spacious with incredible views, my 5 year old daughter thought she was a real life Disney princess. There is a gorgeous pool within the area with the apartments, which is less than 2 minutes in the car, well worth visiting to cool down at the end of the day. We had dinner at their on-site restaurant, which was a highlight of the trip. Fabulous ambiance and again, the best sunset views you could dream of (it’s a shame that people park in front of the restaurants terrace and take away from the feeling you’re a world away from real life). Breakfast was a delight, with a wide choice of traditional Tuscan fare along with fresh fruits, yoghurts, pastries and eggs of your choice. We would love to revisit for a longer and I’ll be taking a look at the apartments this time.

Our family of 15 stayed here for several days two weeks ago at the start of our Italian trip. The Villa went beyond expectations. Everyone was so hospitable, especially at breakfast where they were so pleasant to the five young children in our party. The views are amazing, the rooms charming and comfortable and the wine superb. Highly recommend staying here.
