We stayed for 7D/6N at Palo Alto Glamping which was too long at this location. This resort has the potential to be AMAZING but it falls short in so many ways: PROs: Charming, clean, well-maintained. Staff were warm and welcoming. Beautiful grounds. Outdoor bathroom is pretty cool. Powerful a/c in the room. The mini-hanging bridge located over the stream was cute. Lots of privacy. CONs: Be prepared to wait 45min or longer for your meal (free breakfast) at the restaurant, even if you're the only one in the dining room (food was 4/10). Ammenities are lacking: In-room safe was broken and made a high pitch alarm when we tried to use it, zero counter space by the sink for toiletries, no place to put the handsoap even, shower water never got hot just lukewarm, difficult to get ice (only from bar before 10pm in a GLASS bucket so melted very fast), no "to-go" cups for coffee, jacuzzi was broken the whole time we were there, Keurig in the room never made water hot enough for tea, outdoor bathtub was small and had detritus in it every day so we never used. Only 2 towels provided for 2 people. There was no "trail" around the property as advertised, just the walkway to the other cabins. Massage chairs in the main lobby were broken, no hangers provided, many dogs in surrounding neighborhood barked repeatedly late at night FOR HOURS and the sound echoed like wolves howling. We love dogs and have our own, but this was too much and very disturbing. Don't forget the roosters that crow every morning. Lastly, the location is far from many tourist areas. We had a rental car and drove the monotonous and curvy 2hr round trip every day for 6 days from this resort to La Fortuna and back and regretted it after the 2nd day, so keep that in mind. When we were checking out at 730am the last morning, I was leaving the room to see what appeared to be the maid standing outside our door waiting. That was creepy. If you are passing through Quesada or are in the area for 1 or 2 nights, I think this resort could potentially be a pleasant or romantic short stay experience for a couple. Any longer than that or for a family than the distance and lack of ammenities will become a huge burden. And for those of you that say "but this is GLAMPING!"...don't kid yourself. This is a resort and for the price we pay to stay here, we shouldn't be "roughing it."

We discovered Palo Alto Glamping quite by chance. What a pleasant surprise it was! We stayed just for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. It was lovely. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Every single staff member was so friendly and enthusiastic. Dinner was really good! Special shout out to our waiter Anthony! He was wonderful. My husband and I had massages on the day we arrived – they were so good, we promptly signed up for one more massage each, the next morning! Overall, a lovely stay!

Stayed here this week with a group of 7, with our grown children and friends. The staff was absolutely spectator, especially Justin and Antony! The former was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable, and the latter, just amazing! With 7 of us, all with limited Español skills, he truly set himself apart from any waiter we've ever had. For real, they made us feel like family. The views are incredible. The vibe, even better. Proximity to La Fortuna, a huge plus. We did La Paz on the way there and the free hot springs near Tabacon. If you're on the fence, do not hesitate. This place is incredible.

I stayed in Palo Alto hotel four days ago with my girlfriend. I had a romantic night with her. It was one of the best customer service I've had. The staff was really friendly and always offered the adecuate attention to us during our staying. The place is so lovely. It has a private location. You are sorrounded by beautiful nature and the views are breathtaking. We had the most romantic dinner ever. We cannot wait to come back.

I decided to stay at Palo Alto hotel just for one night, however, I got absolutely surprised because of the place itself. It was the perfect place to work, and have some time to relax. The nature is incredible, I took a short trail and it’s incredible the amount of birds that you can spot in the place.
