If it weren't for the waterfall, the access to the beach and the friendliness of the staff, it would be very evident that this hotel is a ship adrift. Neither the rooms, nor the common spaces nor the activities they offer are in any way similar to the incredibly photoshopped photos that appear on social networks or in the brochure they send you with everything the hotel provides. This is no longer a 4 star hotel and much less worth what they charge you. Our room faced the forest and since there was low occupancy, we had a very nice view. Because the "forest view" of several of the others is a view of the parking lot with some plants barely covering it. Even the rooms with "balcony to the lake" have minimal balconies and in full view of the Wine Bar and the passage of all the people moving around the hotel. The restaurant is not worth it at all and they charge as if it were a luxury restaurant. Not only that, but because of how evident their budget cut is (in every aspect of the hotel): they had put sunflower oil in the olive oil container (do they think that the guests are ignorant and are not going to realize ?) The rooms are made between 2 and 8 p.m., therefore, you may - like us - be there all day without your room having been made. Several times we had to go ask for shampoo and toilet paper at the reception (once they didn't even have toilet paper there). Water or soda is what the confectionery offers. Something with ice? "Sorry, we're out of ice." In a supposedly 4-star hotel for $300 a night. The wine bar is closed several days a week and when there is an event, they do not serve hotel guests. The activities for children are adapted to the age of most of the kids there. The proposals that appear in the summary of the day are never carried out and since my daughter is 3 and there were older children, she did not have the opportunity to participate in any of the activities since the teacher could not adapt the activity. Friday didn't even go. The pool is barely heated. Luckily we didn't ask for massages because it's in a tiny room next to the pool with all the noise of people getting into it and the heat of the air conditioning. The lounge chairs are very sagging, like everything in the common areas. There is no air conditioning or fan in the rooms and the supposedly newly remodeled bathrooms are quite mediocre. One day, the cleaning lady (also very friendly) forgot to take the dirty towels and trash can bags from the hallway that led to our room and we had to notify reception about what had been left there. The only thing that saves this hotel is that the structure is very nice and the staff is incredibly loving and dedicated. They try to make up for what is missing with the limited budget that is evident in every aspect of this hotel. They are juggling what little they have. They can't charge you a fortune
