Paid for reservations but the resort is closed till December due to typhoon , they didn’t send me an email or anything about the resort being closed, waiting for my refund

I really enjoyed my 2 nights here at this lovely resort. It's a big place with 2 pools and many activities like billiards, table tennis, darts, a playground, a mediocre beach, and a mini zoo and some monkeys. The staff were all friendly and helpful too. Wifi was good and it's easy to get to from the pier on a trike. Food and the room is a little pricey I thought but worth it.

We stayed there as four people two german and two Filipina. A huge resort and great place to stay and relax. maintaining cleanliness inside the room and outside. There are so many activities to do and enjoy within the resort. They also serve delicious food that we really enjoyed at a very reasonable price. The staff and owner are so accommodating, friendly and respectful. we don't want to leave. 18 days was not enough for us to stay. The place is recommendable to those who want to relax.

Trotz frühzeitiger Buchung bekamen wir nicht den bestellten und bereits bezahlten Bungalow. Wir wurden in ein einfaches Zimmer abgegeben. Als Entschädigung wollte der Manager uns mit ein paar Peo abspeisen. Dang Agoda hat das nicht geklappt. Wir haben schon jahrelang bei diesem Resort gebucht, viele Tage, und auch viel Geld im Restaurant etc. ausgegeben. Sehr enttäuschen, wenn überraschend angereiste Freunde uns vorgezogen werden. Wir waren auf jeden Fall das letzte Mal dort und möchten mit dieser Bewertung andere warnen. Buchen und bezahlen beduetet dort nicht, dass man auch bekommt, was man bestellt und bezahlt hat.

Wir buchten eine Bungalow für 2 1/2 und 1 Woche (2 Termine) schon 4 Monate vorab. Als wir ankamen, waren die Bungalows besetzt. Wir mussten in die kleinen Zimmer wechseln. Die Bungalows wurden für Kollegen des Managers nachträglich reserviert, weshalb unsere Buchung ohne unser Wissen storniert wurde. Es wurde uns versprochen wir dürfen dafür 2 Zimmer zum Preis von 1 Bungalow haben. Wir nutzten dies für 6 Tage, danach hatten wir noch ein Zimmer. Als wir am Schluss nach der Rückzahlung der Differenz fragten, hatte der Manager keine Zeit mehr, und wir wurden mit PHP 500.--/Tag abgespeist, anstelle von PHP 3000.-- Dank Agoda bekamen wir nachträglich doch noch die Differenz zurück. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht, da wir schon seit Beginn des Whispering Palms dort Zimmer und Bungalows buchen, da unsere Familie auch auf der Insel lebt. Wir werden Whipering Palms leider nie mehr besuchen. Ich hoffe trotzdem, dass ich den Inhaber, Detlef, nochmals treffen kann - er ist wirklich ein anständiger und guter Mensch, nicht wie sein Manager, der auf der Insel auch als "Sklaventreiber" bekannt ist.
