I lived here for six weeks while my house was being renovated. I have lived in San Carlos for 45 years. It is safe and clean, the staff is very friendly. It is not my house lol but the bed is very comfortable, the place is clean and for the most part it is quiet. You can hear stuff in the hallway, but not wall to wall in the room. By no means is this a resort, but it served as a less expensive alternative for me and many travelers. It is sold out most nights. I thank all of the staff, they work hard.

Tried to book room. I went to the front desk. The employee was on the phone. I waited and waited. Then when I thought Finally! She takes another call. Totally ignoring me. I left. Never acknowledged me when I entered, when I was in front of her or when she was on the phone. Very rude and unprofessional.

The room has everything needed to make me feel at home. The staff has made my experience traveling for work very convenient . Surrounded area has plenty of stores restaurants.perfect play to stay. Nice and quiet.safe and clean all you need.

Terrible place. The house laundry starts at 11pm and the washer sounds like an airplane taking off, not to mention the employees yelling over the sound of the machine all night long. I got no sleep, when I went to speak to management nobody was available to help me. The next morning when I finally found a manager, she didn’t care that I was unhappy and offered no resolution. All of the staff that I dealt with at this hotel were rude and unprofessional. Extended stay America offers no customer service and less than desirable accommodation, I won’t waste my money at any of their hotels again.

STANFORD CANCER PATIENTS BEWARE Made reservation for 6 days to have cancer treatment and treatment plan was changed. Hotel refused to reimburse me for the 4 days I no longer needed. Filed a complaint with manager and customer service no one called me back. When I called back said no refund. Not the way you should treat people going through cancer.

The hotel staff, particularly Kassandra at the front desk, absolutely make the stay the best ever! They go out of their way to make sure your experience is excellent. Also the rooms are spacious and always clean and comfortable. This hotel gets an A++!

The room has everything needed to make me feel at home. Shivani has made my experience awesome so far and with nine months to go I feel very fortunate to have her in my corner. The area has plenty of stores restaurants and bars to choose from. Very nice place to stay.

Customer service is horrible - front desk employees are very rude. The hotel is saving on basic necessities like toilet paper - they will give only one roll of toilet paper a week. They even suggested that I should buy toilet paper. No other toiletries were provided. Kitchen utensils were dirty. When I checked in, they had no intention to give me any of kitchen utensils. I had to continuously ask for it. Furniture is old, many things do not work properly, like TV, microwave, even door lock. They have ants in their rooms. Many times a room key did not work. And they charged me erroneous charges which I have to dispute and file complaints with outside agencies. The general manager is absolutely incompetent and arrogant. Stay away from this hotel. It is horrible.

I'm a travel nurse and I have booked this hotel multiple times while in Redwood City. All the staff are great and accomodating. Shivani always receives everybody with a smile and is very helpful in accommodating requests such as more towels, pots and pans, and sometimes even an upgraded room. The rooms are always very clean, and the beds are comfortable. This place is pet-friendly which is a plus. I have to stay here. It is the best place around for the money we pay. Safe, clean, spacious, near everything, and cheap.

Beautiful, friendly and attentive staff from check in:check out. They assumed my reservation from another property experiencing a blackout due to the recent storms. Very welcoming. Treated me like I was already their guest. Great accommodation (room) and experience at this location. Highly recommended.

We needed a hotel on the area while visiting our son. We chose Extended Stay because of the affordability. The hotel is older, but it was clean and it was far and away quietest hotel we ever stayed at. That being said, it is ‘no frills’. There is coffee every morning, and plenty of kitchen appliances if one wants to cook food. But grab and go is just that a granola bar or a muffin. That was fine for us, but a tourist may want more. It is a bit out of the way for tourists as well. However, if one needs to be in the area for a longer time, it is perfect and affordable. All of the staff was extremely courteous and friendly. We will stay there again on our next visit.

Shivani was the bestest of the best! She was always smiling and happy and I know front desk jobs aren’t always fun but she didn’t let the bad parts make her grumpy she just let that slide off her back and kept going with the happy and light attitude. If you see her at the desk say hello and she’ll say hello right back!
