We stayed 6 nights in Salobre Hotel. It was our first time here and our first time on Gran Canaria. We had some difficulty choosing the right hotel for us, but we were happy with our choice. The first 2 days the hotel felt a bit overwhelming because it is so large. We had some difficulty finding our room. Sometimes I prefer smaller hotels but in this case it was great to have so many facilities. And of course to step out the door and the pro shop, and golf carts are right there! We enjoyed some golf lessons. The rooftop/sunset swimming pool is beautiful. My husband had a massage; he thought it was very good. I tried one of the yoga classes. We had a beautiful room, a suite room with kitchen and lovely terrace. On the 11th floor, with a good view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is good to have a car if you stay there because then you can enjoy visiting places on the island. The only thing we thought was missing was a good restaurant. The main restaurant is buffet style, which we are not a fan off. There is a good smaller restaurant (sidecar) but we were unlucky with a large crowd of men making al ot of noise behind us. There is an italian restaurant (you need to drive there) which was good. All in all definitely a great hotel and excellent for golfers and sunseekers.
