This was my first at this resort. My husband and I really enjoyed our spa experience. When you book an appointment you have access to the spa pool, steam room and sauna at any time during that day.
It was nice they had an adult area and a family area for pool lounging.
Having a nature trail was a plus! Plenty to do at the resort, make sure to check the calendar for events happening.
The food at Primero cantina was not good and not to my liking.
Shuttles are available to La Cantera shops and to fiesta texas.
We dined at Signature which was a really great place for a date. The red snapper was delicious!
Overall had a great experience.

Stayed for Father’s Day weekend. My little boy who’s 4 had a blast with the pool area and water slides. Everything was topped off with a nice display of fireworks. Planning on coming back with family in the future

The view and resort are beautiful but if you're not there for golf or an event, after a day of the view, there isn't much to do except lay by the pool. Pool is nice, well maintained w/ choices of areas for kids and adult only and the main combined pool. The pool water was perfect, not too cold nor too warm. They "upgraded" our room to a King w/ pullout queen in order to be close to the second room we got for family. The pullout queen is a sofa bed, it was horrible! Thin mattress and you could feel the steel coils under it and it sloped backward, so your feet were higher than your head and it squeaked when you moved! For such a nice resort, this pullout was not acceptable. My little one didn't mind and thought it was funny, so we didn't complain. If we didn't have to be close to the other room we got for family, I would've rather had a double queen room. The restaurant food at Sweetfire Kitchen was super slow service, waited about an hour for our food, BUT...it was really really good! We all enjoyed our choices from the steak to salmon to chicken and the sides , all were really good! There are many restaurants in the surrounding shopping centers that are not far and many choices too if you don't want to dine in resort. The resort has EV charging but I believe you have to pay valet and then pay to use charger. We just went to nearby Tesla supercharger station at the shopping center.

Overall good , buy AC is no good at all. Room was constantly humid all throught night , turned off and on several times and it was same issue. Front desk said they were all the same with no help at all , i asked for extra pillows called about 6 times , they took about 4 hrs to take pillows.

La Cantera Resort is a must for anyone traveling through San Antonio. I had a wonderful time! The food was excellent and the service phenomenal.

This is a beautiful property that we visit frequently. On more than one occasion I’ve encountered roaches in the room. The carpet leading out of the bathroom was soaking wet.
Staff is not the friendliest but if you get lucky there are some that are very nice. We lucked out with a nice bartender in the pool area and two very nice servers at dinner time. Valet staff is meh

Place is good, i believe it’s 25 years old and starting to wear some. We didn’t have the best experience however management recognized it & made us whole.
