.We arrived at 3:45 pm, but were told there weren’t rooms available until 4:00 and couldn’t start the check in process. So, we sat at the near lounge, waiting patiently, but soon a family arrives, ask for their room and get it right away, with another agent. Ee recieved 2 bottles of water as an appology, but notan upgeade, even though my husband is Spire level frequent guest. The facilities are very simple, business type lobby. We got no upgrade, even though my husband is Spire level. The room has a nice king size bed. Keurig coffee maker, a sink and a microwave oven.

I am giving just 3* instead of 5* because of our problem checking in. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns & never had a problem finding our room. However this Hotel is an exception. Upon check-in we were told our room was # 315. The clerk said to get there drive your car to level C & then take the elevator to level 3. O.K. We park at level C, get our bags & proceed along a walkway to an outside door that goes into the hotel. As we approach the door it is opened by someone going out so we do not need to use our room scan card to open it. We find the room which was on the same level & try to open the door. Nothing worked. We call the front desk & the clerk says that she will bring us another card. We wait & wait & wait. Call the desk again. The clerk says where are you?. We say outside of #315. You were not there says the clerk. What ! Are we invisible? Anyway after much talk we & the clerk finally realize that we are in the WRONG Hotel. Yes,, the Drury Hotel shares the same parking garage & we are in the Drury.. We exit the Drury into the same parking garage & see another door around the corner. This one does lead to the Holiday Inn. After 30 min we are in our room. What a bunch of crap. On it's good side, we did have a full Hot Breakfast. Nice but small pool.

The room and breakfast are good, the room is clean and tidy, two 1.5-meter beds, living very comfortable, a little regret that the air conditioner is indoors, I feel not central air conditioning, the overall evaluation is very good

We stayed here on a Saturday night and made the reservation that morning. It cost around $320 or $330 for the night. The room was fairly large. There was the main room with 2 double beds and another room (open floor plan) with a sofa bed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. In the morning, they had a nice breakfast with various options. The hotel is fairly close to the Riverwalk and The Alamo. It cost around $10 to Uber to the Riverwalk, and around $15 to return (excluding tip).

This is a typical, very clean, updated Holiday Inn Express room. It’s on the access road of the highway. The location may not seem like much but a variety of fast food restaurants is a 1-minute drive. More importantly Alamodome downtown is an easy 14 minute drive. Parking is free and very close to the front door. I was in town for a marching band event at the Alamodome downtown. I didn’t want to pay $$$ for a decent hotel downtown. But, I didn’t want to stay at a cheap crummy downtown hotel either. This hotel totally met my needs. A big shoutout to Matt who checked me in. He makes you feel like an important guest and that whatever you need will be taken care.
