We stayed July 17-July 18. Picked this location due to it's proximity to Pappadeaux's and Cigars International. There was a large conference and the hotel was sold out. However, the property is large enough not to feel crowded. The elevators are very fast. The facilities are clean and well kept. Free happy hour with snacks from 4 to 6 every evening. The rooms were quite. Really enjoyed our stay. Check in staff were friendly and efficient. Very welcoming

First of all the staff was friendly and helpful. No problems there. Room was just ok. Breakfast was ok. No coffee...just an instant coffee machine. Not a Keurig either. That would've been a better chioce. Nescafe coffee and it was gross. Pool was good. Location is good for most places to go in San Antonio. Difficult to get in and out of at certain times of the day. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. Just needs to be updated badly. Mattresses are not comfortable and had a hard time sleeping. We stayed for 3 days. No sleep and no coffee. It's personal to me to have a comfortable bed and coffee. Especially when I'm paying for those things.

.We arrived at 3:45 pm, but were told there weren’t rooms available until 4:00 and couldn’t start the check in process. So, we sat at the near lounge, waiting patiently, but soon a family arrives, ask for their room and get it right away, with another agent. Ee recieved 2 bottles of water as an appology, but notan upgeade, even though my husband is Spire level frequent guest. The facilities are very simple, business type lobby. We got no upgrade, even though my husband is Spire level. The room has a nice king size bed. Keurig coffee maker, a sink and a microwave oven.

So I'm here for two days staying in room 410. There are signs everywhere saying staff will wear masks but I didn't see any doing so. So I try checking in this morning on the hilton app and it won't let me select a room so I'll just deal with it when I get to the hotel. That was a mistake. I get here at 3:00PM today, and a maskless male employee at the front desk calls me ”boss”, doesn't thank me for being Hilton gold, and hands me a bag with two bottles of water in it. One of the elevators is broken. I get to my room and from the floorplan of this place, it's one of the smallest rooms at the property. It's nearly empty tonight and they put me as a hilton gold member in one of the smallest rooms on the property. There is not a single USB port in the entire room except for one on the back of the TV - don't forget your charger. This hotel has murky colored dim lighting in the form of compact florescent bulbs still in use everywhere in the room. The mattress seems clean, as do the linens. There are stains all over the walls. There is tape all over the smoke detector so I hope there isn't a fire. The furniture is beat up and has certainly seen better days. The showerhead is caked with mineralization and needs to be cleaned better or replaced. There was a hair on the wall. The caulk around the toilet is falling apart. There are spots of mold on the tiles in the shower and along some of the walls and ceiling. I had a lot of trouble connecting my devices to wifi so I gave up and just used my phone as a hotspot. The thermostat on the wall doesn't control the PTAC window unit. It took me forever to figure out you actually have to use the controls on the PTAC and not the thermostat to set the environmental controls. So I have no idea what this thermostat is for then. The tv is DirecTV so it's digital but has that too-soft overly compressed picture quality to it. Doordash delivers to the hotel and there are lots of options. My doordash driver Angel was super nice and friendly so there's that at least. The hotel itself is ”fine”. The staff themselves are fine but wish they were wearing masks like the signs say they would be doing and I wish they were friendlier and adhered to policy and didn't call me ”boss”. I feel like the hotel is overpriced for the condition the hotel is in. Some bleach in the shower to get rid of the mold, updated light bulbs, a new shower head, fixing the caulk around the toilet, and paint touchup on the walls would have made this room not feel so run down. It would have probably caused me to overlook all the scratches on the furniture. When business brings me back to the area - and it most assuredly will - I would not select this property again until improvements are made.

I booked a suite we r a family of 4 . Plenty of space for the kids like the other reviewer stated. Rooms are quiet and beds are comfortable so you get a good sleep. Hotel also has full restaurant n bar... didn't have a chance to try it but just an fyi. Rooms have a Keurig so that a plus if your a coffee drinker. In the mornings they have complementary coffee downstairs. Also they have a heated pool as per front desk (another fyi). Location of hotel is very convenient; it's near lots of restaurants n shopping... 10 min drive to SA zoo n downtown. 15 min to SeaWorld. 5 min to Cantera shopping mall. Staying here was a great choice for me... will definitely be staying here again.
