Nestled in the very heart of Virginia wine country and right next to Pippin Hills farm and winery, this is a must stay! The Inn’s hostess greeted us out front and our room (Monticello) was beautiful and well appointed. The bed delightful, shower water very hot. The highlight and special shout out to Chef Joe. His included breakfasts were 4 star worthy. Local source and herbs from on site. Absolutely the best BnB we have ever stayed, including Western Europe!

Charm, congeniality and convenience marked our stay at Crossroads Inn. We stayed in the Pippin House, the former Summer kitchen for the Inn. It is two levels, and while it has the modern conveniences of Nespresso, TV and WiFi, and a sumptuous shower, it has old world charm of old wood rafters, brick walls. etc. We chose Pippin because it is the property on site that allows pets and our two dogs were welcomed with open arms. Breakfasts in the historic tavern were filling and delicious. The location is convenient to many Monticello AVA wineries and historic sites. We would absolutely stay again. And special thanks to Gracie who went out of her way to accommodate us and ensure that our stay was fantastic.

To Matt, Gracie and Joe, My husband Robert and I would like to thank you for the warm and welcoming hospitality we experienced during our stay at The Crossroads Inn! One of the pleasures we enjoy as we journey through retirement is to find historic bed and breakfast inns to explore and to experience the history of the homes. We have stayed in quite a few inns and by far, the Crossroads Inn is one of the best experiences we’ve had!! From the very beginning, the communication through emails confirming our reservations and texts from Matt made us feel welcomed, even before we even got there!! We arrived 30 minutes early and Gracie graciously allowed us to check in. She was very personable, delightful and made us feel right at home as she gave us a tour and the history of the inn. The Inn was beautiful and was very well maintained from its original state when it was built in 1820. We stayed in the Roosevelt Suite. It was beautifully appointed, very clean and had everything you would want in a room. A Nespresso machine with a full complement of coffees, cold water in the refrigerator, snacks in the tavern and even a bag of feed to give to the Inn’s chickens. The bed was very comfortable and the linens and complimentary robes were of high quality . The morning of departure we were served a beautiful and delicious breakfast in the tavern prepared and served by chef, Joe. Joe was very welcoming and provided an exceptional breakfast. The coffee was delicious and freshly brewed, the fruit, biscuits and pastries were beautifully presented and delicious. The fresh eggs from the Inn’s chickens were fluffy and perfectly cooked and were complimented with savory sausage and wonderful sage breakfast tots. It was fabulous!! Chef Joe knows how to prepare and present a breakfast to remember in the incredible original tavern. We absolutely loved the total experience, the warm hospitality and attention to detail has been beyond our expectations! We are already checking our calendar to return in the fall! Outstanding and well done!! Robert and Dee

A friend and I recently stayed at this lovely historic 1820 inn for three nights and loved every minute. The location is great and Pippin Hill winery is right next door. The rooms were beautifully appointed and historic and the inn has been renovated with amazing elegance and taste. The wood floors and so much more are original and I stayed in a room where Thomas Jefferson had a private dinner. And the food.... out of this world. Chef Joe is Michelin worthy. Breakfasts were different each day and highly creative, using local eggs, bread, coffee, etc. where possible. We enjoyed the special dinner that is sometimes offered on Friday nights and it was worth every penny. Wine pairings, gorgeous presentation, delicious and amazing. Even the menu that greeted us had our names on it. A meal that will be long remembered. The inn keepers make sure their guests have a memorable stay and have provided so many special amenities to make that happen. If this inn is under consideration for a stay, book it right away. You will be so glad you did!

My spouse and I just enjoyed a long weekend at The Crossroads Inn to celebrate our anniversary. We're locals and have visited Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, which is next to the inn, many times and were looking forward to a relaxed stay not too far from home. We stayed in the Pippin Cottage with our two dogs and had the loveliest time. The highlight bar none is the service you'll receive when you stay at Crossroads: It's clear that Matt, Gracie, and Joe are all absolute pros at what they do, and they each seem to strike just the right balance of being easygoing, attentive, and warm. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and added little touches to our stay that we weren't expecting. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We did the Friday night five-course dinner with wine pairings with Chef Joe, and it was another highlight of our stay. The vibe was romantic, yet somehow still warm and personal like the chef was preparing food just for us. :) If possible, we would love to come back just for dinner again. The setting, including Pippin Hill, is beautiful and idyllic, the food and wine are delicious, and the service is perfection. Thank you, Matt, Gracie, and Joe!

We had a lovely time at Crossroads Inn. From being greeted by Matt at our arrival and hearing the history of the Inn to a delicious breakfast the following morning, everything was delightfull. The Inn is a wonderful historic setting - circa 1820 - but has been very tastefully updated with modern conveniences but definitely retains its historic presence. We look forward to staying there again!

Fantastic stay! Authentic 18th century Inn with modern comforts. First rate hospitality, staff and service - could not be better. We experienced the 4 course wine tasting dinner, and it was exquisite! Fine dining in a warm, intimate, historic setting. We’d love to do it again! The chef’s ability to combine and complement flavors and textures shows genius-level skill - not exaggerating, and we dine at many fine restaurants. Breakfast was a feast as well. We’ll be back!

What a wonderful stay. My daughter and I stayed for the night after attending a cooking class at Pippin. Check in was a nice mix of what the Inn had to offer as well as the wonderful history. The Roosevelt Suite was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. I’d return just for the homemade cinnamon bun! Already looking forward to our next stay. Thanks for a lovely stay!
