Travelled with my 15 yr old son for 5 nights Snowboarding and Skiing. If you know Samoens you’ll appreciate this great location, really close into the village, and the bus collection to the Grand Massif directly outside. We had a couple of great dinners in the hotel and ate in town on the other occasions. The BedRoom was small but very comfortable for 2 people. The bath water was great, although ceilings too low for a shower. )I didn’t mind a long soak in the bath after a day snowboarding) Bonus of an outside pool, under cover. Yes is cold, but nice and you soon warm up. For skiers and snowboarders there is a locker room downstairs, under the hotel, this is quite small but we never felt squashed in there, just be patient is 2/3 persons are already in there, as not enough room for more than that. This met our requirements perfectly, was well priced and the service at front desk and restaurant was spot on throughout our trip.

The hotel is in a brilliant spot maybe 3 mins from the town and right out for bus stop. The family who run the hotel are amazing and the rooms are ideal. We didn't use the restaurant but was always busy. Samoens is fantastic and we had the best time skiing

Just returned from a lovely week in the gorgeous town of Sameon. Stayed at the Gai Soleil. Fantastic location and excellent hosts who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has great facilities, the bedrooms had great views and were very comfortable. There is a lovely bar area serving drinks. Hot tub and spa area downstairs. Would highly recommend.

We booked this hotel for a late season, long w/e ski. Good position in Samoens, close to the centre and on the ski bus route to the GM express. Elodie and the whole team are very friendly and accommodating; the evening in house dinners are excellent. Great features such as the hamman 'wellness' facility just added to the stay. Great value and deffo on our return list.

We had a truly lovely time here. The hotel is family run and all the staff are really great and make you feel welcome. It had a chalet feel to the place. The rooms were warm and spacious with a great balcony. Breakfast was always well stocked with breads, fruit and a warm option. The bar area was cosy with large sofas and a fire. Decent draught beer and local wines. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was excellent, beyond what we expected ! Boot room was a tad small but heh ho. Ski bus was directly opposite which was handy. Samoens is a really lovely town, we will definitely return. Thank you

We arrived very late so we’re glad to get into our room as the owner kindly let us in. The room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The balcony was lovely. The shower was always hot and the bathroom was well equipped and modern. We really loved the basement hammam, steam room, jacuzzi and Himalayan salt room which we could reserve privately. Breakfast was varied and fresh and friendly service. We stayed at Neige et Roc 4 star last year which is next door. We would definitely recommend staying here instead. I think it’s worthy of 4 stars not the 3 as certified.

Nous avons passé 5 jours très agréables au Gai Soleil. La suite familiale était confortable et spacieuse, très joliment décorée comme l'ensemble de l'établissement d'ailleurs avec un faible pour le salon très cocoon. Les propriétaires sont charmants et c'est également vrai pour l'ensemble du personnel. Le restaurant est au même niveau de qualité. En bref, c'est l'endroit idéal pour un séjour à Samoëns.

Nous sommes juste allés diner. Malgré notre retard un sourire et on nous installe. Une fondue aux cèpes excellente avec un gamay qui s'apparente très bien avec. Un service présent agréable et arrangeant. Je recommande vivement

Hôtel très agréable, le lodge est spacieux, terrasse privative très agréable, accès direct à la piscine et au jardin. Le personnel est très sympathique et serviable, le restaurant excellent ! Nous y avons passé 2 jours inoubliables et espérons bien revenir !
