This is a wonderful, quiet, and friendly place. The manager, Daniel, was welcoming and efficient, and really interesting to talk to about the surrounding area. The campsite is the best I've seen in Kenya, and the bandas (where we stayed) are excellent. As a word of advice, follow their excellent directions to get here -- do not follow the full instructions from Google maps, which may take you on the old route which is no longer passable even by 4WD. The "NCPB Maralal" is on Santuary Road [as spelled on google maps), which is a main road heading east from the downtown. This was the perfect 2-night stop on our way across northern Kenya, giving us a chance to relax and take a side trip to the Malasso viewpoint.

Ngari Hill Guesthouse is a hidden little gem. An absolute delight with such friendly and welcoming staff. We recently stayed here on our photography tour with a private client and the activities we organised through the guesthouse were an absolute highlight. I can't wait to return with more photo tour guests!

Het was een fanatische ervaring om in deze prachtige, op een heuveltop gelegen Eco-Lodge met geweldig mooi uitzicht, te verblijven. De kamers zijn goed uitgerust. Er zijn cottages, met prachtig grote terrassen, die uitkijken over het landschap. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en zorgde goed voor ons. De maaltijden zijn zeer smakelijk. Door de staf georganiseerd, hebben we een aantal door lokale Samburu-gidsen begeleidde, zeer interessante hikes gemaakt naar met name de omgeving richting Kirisia-forest en de 'blacksmith'. Tijdens deze tochten hebben we kunnen ervaren hoe de lokale, zeer vriendelijke Samburu bevolking, leeft en woont. Al met al een geweldige ervaring. Een die we iedereen kunnen aanbevelen.

met dochter en twee kleinzonen naar Kenia gereisd en enkele dagen in Maralal gelogeerd in Ngari Hill Guesthouse. Een prachtig verblijf in het algemeen met bijzondere kamers en vele soorten verblijven met mooie terrassen in het bijzonder. Een goed restaurant met warme open haard en bijzonder klantvriendelijke mensen in de bediening. Kortom, de moeite waard om te bezoeken!

Samen met mijn man en onze 2 tieners van 11 en 14j hebben we enorm genoten van onze 2 nachten in deze lodge. Zeer familiair en warm onthaal met veel aandacht voor hun gasten. De kinderen worden warm toegesproken. Daniël de manager is zeer attent en altijd in voor een gesprek over Kenia en de omgeving. De kamers waren heel ruim en in orde. De kok maakt de lekkerste lokale of Italiaanse gerechten en heerlijke lunchpakketten. Het uitzicht is magnifiek van op het terras van het restaurant. Paul de gids nam ons mee op een prachtige hike met veel contacten met de lokale Samburu.

We hadden een hele fijne tijd hier! Aangenaam onthaal, mooie kamers, vriendelijke medewerkers. Het uitzicht is er fantastisch met zicht op Maralal. Ook het eten was erg lekker met de beste Lasagna van heel Kenia. We deden een dagtrip en ontmoetten heel veel Samburu kinderen die nog nooit “een witte” hadden gezien. We hebben samen ontzettend veel plezier gemaakt! Voor wie het pure Kenia wil ontdekken is dit een ideale plek! om te verblijven.
