"The Wellness Park Hotel Bactria provides a truly elegant and modern retreat in Samarkand. It is highly praised for its immaculately clean, spacious rooms and the exceptional, professional service delivered by the staff. Featuring excellent wellness facilities and a serene location near the new Eternal City, it is the top choice for travelers seeking sophistication, comfort, and tranquility."
"Staffs are friendly especially the one that is assigned in day time who always makes us coffee during our 3 days stay.. Kodus also to the lady (chef) who brought us pancake and toast bread during breakfast! 👌
but the other staff at night shift is a bit unfriendly.. Place is aesthetic even though location is not so ideal. Wifi is so bad and Smart Tv is not updated so we still need to set up the TV in order for us to be able to use Netflix and youtube. Overall, its still good!"
"A particularly amazing hotel, the decoration taste is particularly good, breakfast is also very good. Although it is not close to the scenic spot, it is very cheap to take a taxi anyway, and it is very convenient to take a taxi to the scenic spot."
"Great location, good price, and a courtyard.
The triple room was very spacious. I had breakfast for three days, and the variety varied each day, but it was all delicious.
The heated towel rack in the bathroom was very practical, and there were free water dispensers on every floor, so you could always get plenty of water!
The front desk staff was friendly and spoke good English.
It was a great place to stay in Samarkand."
"The friendly staff speak fluent English. I'm not good at English, but they spoke clearly, which was helpful.
Above all, the room was so cute that it got me excited!
There were no amenities, water, or breakfast service, but I had a very comfortable stay. You take off your shoes at the entrance, which Japanese people might like. I was very happy to be able to walk around barefoot in the room without any worries.
There are shops nearby, so you won't have any problems even if you get hungry.
The entrance to the guesthouse is a little hard to find, but when I got out of the taxi and looked around, a kind man at the shop showed me the entrance.
If you're tired of big hotels, this might be a good way to change your mood!"
"Stayed for two consecutive days, the hotel is in the middle, no matter which attraction you go to. The hotel is very clean, the environment is super good, quiet and no noise. The service awareness is strong, the boss personally asked what time to eat breakfast? What to eat for breakfast, there is no taboo. . . For this exclusive service, this respect is a plus. The boss is very humble and asked me with a smile. Where did you go today? How do you feel? Haha, the emotional value provided is full, and the psychological pleasure really feels very good. I want to recommend it to my friends!"
"About 15 minutes walk to Registan Square. About 7 minutes to mini shop. It is located in a residential area in the back of the old town.
The courtyard is comfortable and you can feel the wind in the terrace seat. Breakfast is served individually. It serves quite a lot of fruit.
The room took off the shoes in the corridor. I stayed for 4 nights, but on the 3rd day there was cleaning and towel replacement.
There is a toothbrush in the room but there is no cup.
The air-conditioning is also good. Shower room, suitable hot water flow is good.
Check out on the way back and send it to the train station for free by the car arranged by the owner.
The owner of the inn, the eldest son, is friendly and speaks various English."
"The room itself is like in the hotel photo, very spacious, beautiful, high ceilings. The bathroom is clean, small, but quite comfortable. Huge bed 2x2m. There is air conditioning, hair dryer works. Of the minuses - the windows overlook the road, and the roads in Samarkand (maybe specifically in this area) are very, very loud, there is an endless stream of cars that never stop honking. It's okay at night, but in the morning even with the window closed you won't sleep for long - if that's important to anyone. Well, and the entrance to the hotel is through the catering hall, but this is probably not so important. Breakfast is there, in the catering hall - continental."
"Потрясающий отель. Уборка номеров каждый день. Вкусный азиатский завтрак шведский стол. Отзывчивый и доброжелательный персонал и хозяева. Удобная кровать. Подогрев пола в ванной комнате. Расположен идеально, с террасы открывается вид на Гур-Эмир. Чувствуешь себя как дома. Обязательно буду рекомендовать."
"Silent and beautiful place to sleep. The rich breakfast buffet offers healthy and delicious food. The family run hotel has been built recently with materials of high quality and taste in design, it was a pleasure to stay there. The staff was helpful and very friendly, i felt treated like a family member."

Amazing
GGuest UserFrom the moment I arrived, the host made me feel completely at home — super kind, always smiling, and genuinely helpful with tips about where to go and how to get around. It didn’t feel like just checking into a hostel, more like being welcomed into someone’s home.
The breakfast every morning was such a treat. Fresh, tasty, and prepared with care — the kind of breakfast that actually makes you look forward to waking up early. It gave me the perfect energy to start exploring the city.
The location couldn’t have been better. It’s right in a very convenient spot, close enough to walk to the main sights but still in a peaceful area where you can relax after a busy day. I loved being able to step out and reach Samarkand’s incredible landmarks so easily.
Overall, Old Radio Hostel has such a cozy, warm vibe. Between the amazing host, the delicious food, and the perfect location, it really felt like a home away from home. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable and authentic stay in Samarkand — I’d definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserWe are so happy and satisfied with this hotel until the day we checked out. We were accused of taking the laundry bag which is worth 300k Uzbek SUM. I went up with 2 staff and it turned out it was in the drawer all the time (the funny thing is I never even touched it.) I don’t blame these 2 staff as I know it is their responsibility to make sure nothing was missing/stolen (though next time it would be appreciated if they can check it more thoroughly.)
What truly pissed me off is the attitude from another female staff at the reception named Zarifa. From the moment we checked out, she just looked grumpy and when my friend said “we never used it”, she reacted with “I am sure you did” in a very rude way! Even later on, it turned out to be in the drawer in the room, she was not even apologetic (the other 2 staff at least said “sorry for the mistake.”
This is one of the 2 five star hotels in Samarkand and I just hope what we paid at this hotel is equivalent to the amount of respect you show to your customers. The hotel really NEEDS to put more training in your staff’s service.
By the way, we had a really nice chat with another staff named “Firdav” at the first floor bar (if I remember his name correctly, he is tall and bit skinny). He had worked in Hilton for 2 years and the professionalism and politeness he demonstrated is just another level. PLEASE LEARN FROM HIM THAT HOW A STAFF AT 5 STAR HOTEL SHOULD BEHAVE AND TREAT THEIR GUESTS!!
GGuest UserThe hotel itself was very clean.
However, perhaps due to an issue with the hotel's facilities, there was a water outage, so I couldn't take a shower or flush the toilet.
Up to this point, I could have forgiven it, but when I checked out, I was charged for the laundry service, which I didn't use. I thought that if I had used it, there would be some kind of written documentation, but when I asked for one, they said there wasn't.
It left a bad taste in my mouth during my stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel is almost new and very nice and spotless clean. The only problem is the location is far from the city center. Staff in the reception are helpful but the staff in the bar don’t care about serving guests. I had an incident in the first day I checked in and went to the bar and asked for a drink. After waiting for 10 minutes, I walked up to the counter where two employees were chatting and reminded them of my request. Another 10 minutes passed and I went again to the counter and told them to bring my drink. I was the only guest in the place and the employees weren’t busy except chatting. I was infuriated for their lack of respect and ignoring my presence. It’s only after twenty minutes I got my drink. I paid 10% service charge on top of my bill for very poor service.
CCameo19Beautiful lobby area, great location, lovely selection at breakfast, little disappointed with the actual room, it didn’t reflect the exterior or public areas, but it was manageable. Over satisfied with our two nights stay.
KKeaihouziThe hotel lobby service is very average. The bellhops who drove to the lobby door were not enthusiastic and did not greet guests quickly. You had to call them. The check-in staff were also not enthusiastic and inefficient. Shouldn't they be enthusiastic and quick when you stay for two nights and extend your stay the next day? But the woman was impatient and perfunctory👎; the price is not low for local consumption. A very small room costs more than 1,500 RMB a night. Hilton is a five-star hotel, so shouldn't it provide corresponding services? The hotel's hardware facilities are good, but the soft service training is very poor. Because the hotel is remote and similar to a park, the driver who picked us up could not reach the hotel entrance due to the road closure caused by the local sports meeting, and the hotel shuttle bus was needed to take us out. After the bellhops sent us to the parking lot outside, he didn't even bother to help take the luggage out of the car, and just stood there waiting for us to take it ourselves. I really don't understand how the staff are trained. The service is very poor.
TThomasBGThere was a misunderstanding with my previous booking for another property in the same wellness complex near Samarkand, but when I got to the nearby Hilton Garden Inn Sogt instead, I felt in good hands from the first minute - and all there was perfect, at least for my understanding. Cozy, warm, quiet and simply, but stylishly furnished rooms, amazing bed and bathroom, huge TV (which I didn't use for a second, but it's nice to know you have one), and all this - in a very peaceful, quiet and beautiful surrounding. Probably the best hotel service you can get in Samarkand, is in that area. Airport is 20 minutes away, similar is the time to the downtown and historic area of Samarkand. Yandex taxis are available day and night, and their rates are something you can't even dream of in the Western world.
HHoracio AngelThe location near the Registan and Timur's Mausoleum is ideal. Located in an old neighborhood, it's wonderful to walk around and experience everyday life. The cleanliness, reception, and room service are all excellent. The Wi-Fi is very good at reception but terrible in the rooms. The pool is shared by families in one-hour shifts, which seems to be culturally appropriate. Both the sauna and the pool are very nice, but you'll need to book in advance.
JJiniholicIt's really convenient to be able to walk to places like Registan Square. However, it's located down an alley and can be a bit difficult to find. There seems to be more than one way to write the address, so I was a bit worried about using a ride-hailing app. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and when I explained my discomfort in the room, they changed me. Breakfast was very delicious.
-★2 The shower drainage was very poor. There was only one outlet available, so I couldn't use the stand to charge my phone.
RRamonLocation: excellent! It is in the same building complex as the Art Gallery Happy Bird, mentioned in Tripadvisor. Registan is about 300 m away, so after dinner I would walk there to see the illumination.
My room had 2 twin beds, was rather small but comfortable. Upon opening the windows, a cool breeze entered the room. Wi-fi was reliable and there was a water boiler for tea.
Breakfast was abundant and good. The cook, Dishoda, would make me an omelette every morning. In the same building there are restaurants and fast food/ice cream joints.
On my last day I took the train to Khiva, which departs at 11:46. The hotel allowed me to stay in the TV room, with wifi access, water and toilet facilities, for 10 hours after check out. I recommend Hotel Dyor.
