My family and I had a perfect dinner at Kalimba tonight, the food was stellar and the drinks were also top notch. I have only great words to describe the service staff, which were both super attentive and had a great sense of humor. In addition they also have managed to create a place with serenity and ambiance. Thank you Kalimba staff for a great evening! If you’re ever considering - just go there, it is a great place and they serve top notch food and drinks.

Words cannot describe how wonderful Villas Kalimba is -- if you are thinking of staying in Samra, this is hands down the place to stay! Not only are the accommodations stylish, clean, and comfortable the service and people of Villas Kalimba are BEYOND wonderful. Carolina, Matteo, Diego and Javier who manage and operate everything are the most wonderful people you could ever imagine. They helped us with any request, helped my daughter with Spanish homework, gave us good local advice, and were genuinely wonderful to get to know and talk with. The pool was a highlight, the food and drinks at the restaurant were delicious. The massages from Rebecca in the adorable spa were some of the best of my life. Being just down the street from both a little grocery store and an organic market was perfect, and it was the perfect walking distance to "town" -- which is about 3 blocks away. The beach is 2 blocks away. Not staying on the downtown ***** or the beach was a perfect choice since it would be way too loud and this felt like you were in a little oasis but truly so close to everything. This is a true gem of a place!!!

Our family of two teenagers and two adults absolutely loved every moment of our 11 day stay at Villas Kalimba. From the hospitality, to the amenities, to the cleanliness and more, everything was perfect. The location is, in our opinion, the best in Samara for both easy access to the beach and town. The villas were spacious and the pool was so inviting. We hope to return as we were so very welcome there.

Such a special spot! We had the private Villa Kamar, with our own pool and five bedrooms. Such a private amazing space, with lizards, butterflies and beautiful plantings. A quick walk across the street to the beach, with restaurants and grocery also walkable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this great spot!

We had a lovely week long stay at the villas kalimba. Matteo and the team go out of their way to make you feel like you are part of their family. All places could learn the art of customer service from this crew. The location is very close to the beach and the Main Street. The morning breakfast and restaurant are great! I’m still thinking about all the delicious fruit and drinks. There’s a nice little pool in the middle of the villas which is great for cooling off. The linens and the bed could use an improvement. The beds are a bit stiff and the blanket is a bit light if you have the AC going.

We returned to Villas Kalimba after discovering this gem in 2023 - we already booked for 2025. The hotel is absolutely lovely - the six individual villas are private but surround a delightful pool. While this place is not directly on the beach it is a short walk and you can actually hear the waves at the pool or while on your private porch. The common space is very well designed with lots of tropical foliage. There is a bar on the pool deck and an excellent restaurant. There is a small grocery store steps away with everything you’ll need. The location, the villas, and the pool are all excellent but what really makes this place so special is the amazing staff.

This was our fifth time to visit Villas Kalimba. They consistently exceed our expectations. The staff always go above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The property is very clean and well managed. We feel safe and appreciate all the assistance in arranging tours, transportation or meal reservations. Thank you, once again, for making us feel like family. Until the next time!

My husband and I had a great time in Samara. It was our first time and we are already talking about going back. First of all, the staff is so friendly. I had a few email exchanges with them before we went and they were so helpful, I was looking forward to meeting them. Once we got there Diego, Carolina, Laura were so warm and welcoming and they helped with any request that I felt like we had been going there for years. The room was spacious and comfortable, the outdoor space at each villa is well maintained and beautiful. The hotel is in a great location, a three minute walk to the beach, which has become one of my favorite beaches. It is also close to many restaurants and shops. I highly recommend staying here!

Just stayed 3 weeks for the 10th time in 14 years. The staff is like family only good natured & helpful 100% of the time. Food & drinks & massage therapist all world class. Have made friends with other regulars & local shop & restaurant owners. Beach is a 10++ & the town is low key & safe. It's my happy place.
