Travelling with a toddler
This place is perfect!!!! Our flight arrival was 7:10am. We were welcomed by Kuya Alec (airport transfer driver) straight to the Welcome Center. First trip to the hotel was at 11am but Kuya Alec said we can join the employees’ boat at 9am. So we were at the resort as early as 10am swimming in the beach. Check in was at 3pm but we were given room at 12nn. Such a breeze.
Our favorite were the heated pool. We were at the pool and the beach from 10am to 8pm. The weekend fire dance show was awesome.
The breakfast food was so good and variety is wide. I love the whole truffle cheese wheel! Check in and check out were a breeze. Miss Jelay, of Front Desk was so accommodating to my hyperactive toddler. Also Ms Vanessa and Ms Daphne. We will definitely go back again

Discovery Samal is great resort very near to Davao city for groups or couples who want to unwind with multiple swimming pools, rooms and servuce os international standards and staff are super freindly and support you with warm smile..

This was my first time staying here.. it was truly amazing. The staff were great, the room was fantastic, the boat transfer was private, fast and comfortable! If you need to move around the resort they send a golf cart for you free anytime. The bistro restaurant was a little bit disappointing as they didn't have a couple of items I wanted, but the waiter was great! I would definitely come back!

1. Great location
2. Many pools to choose from
3. Friendly, courteous staffs, fast service
4. Accommodating
5. Spacious lobby
6. Easy check in and out
Other side:
1. Too pricey hotel
2.bfast Buffet food was just standard for a luxury hotel , should be set up maybe outside (non pork)
3. Should have another room to store their extra beds not displaying just outside our room (Executive suite)
4. Lock Knob was broken at the CR
5. Dinner buffet was too pricey for p2,500.00 each.
6. Fireworks dance must be set at the middle stage for the benefit of all guests not just for the buffet eaters (dinner)
7. Gym area was not spacious for a luxury hotel
8. Limited Recreational activities to choose from
9. The color of the hotel (i know it's standard color of Discovery) but it's dull , not appealing

Pros: nice white sand beach, quiet resort no loud karaoke, 3 large pools and large ground perfect for walks or jogging in the morning. Dined at Morning catch and Haribar, both with great food. Friendly and highly responsive staff.
Cons: spotty wifi in room, for junior suites. Wish there’s a soaking tub in each room.
