Hotels Near Private Hundewiese in Salzburg

A lovely quiet location opposite the zoo and Hellbrunn Palace, and a bus ride direct to Salzburg or a short ride the opposite direction for the cable car. A lovely hotel with a fab view over the mountains from the back. Only downside for maybe a solo traveller is that there is no reception but on hand via whattsapp. Restaurant is not attached but def worth a visit as the food was wonderful. Not too far from other hotels and we found a couple of nice restaurant/bars.

Good value for money hotel. Very tasteful contemporary decor. Convenient location about 15 minutes level walk from railway station and about 15 minutes level walk to river/Schloss Mirabell and the Old Town on the other side of the river. Friendly/helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Would stay again. Hotel has a great system for checking in after hours, which we really appreciated, as our train was delayed, so a late arrival turned into a middle of the night one!

When I was looking for a hotel for a 1-night stay in Salzburg, I stumbled upon the listing for the Hyperion and took a chance. I wasn't familiar with the Hyperion hotel brand and didn't know much about Salzburg. Now, I have fallen under the spell of both the hotel and the city. The Hyperion is a fairly new hotel and it is in pristine shape. The room is rather generously sized compared to most of the European hotels I have stayed in thus far. The bathroom was particularly good -- with an American-style shower that featured both a handheld wand and a rain shower head. The separate water closet was a plus. The technology in the room (especially the lighting tech) is impressive, if not slightly confusing. Nice touch to have the Nescafe machine and the Mozart chocolates. The bed was very comfortable. The location, next to Mirabell Gardens, was great. The hotel staff was helpful. We arrived early, and the front desk gave us tips on how to spend our afternoon, drawing out some local attractions on the map and suggesting we get a Salzburg card (we already had them). They also gave us a recommendation for dinner, but we were turned away at the restaurant, which was full. In stead, we dined at the restaurant in the hotel, which was quite nice. Service was solid. Breakfast is a tad expensive, but they do offer a wide assortment of breakfast items (hot and cold) as well as eggs made to order. Champagne was also available for mimosas. Nice touch.

We only stayed here for one night on our way to St. Wolfgang and Hallstatt. We picked this place because it's super close to both the train and bus stations, plus the price was really reasonable. When we checked in later in the evening, we met this friendly receptionist from Germany, but we didn't catch his name. The room was spotless, with a nice clean bathroom, air conditioning, and a kettle. The only downside was no fridge in the room, but they said we could use the one at the front desk if we needed. Breakfast on the 6th floor was awesome with great views of the mountains. Overall, this hotel was perfect for our quick stay, and we'd definitely choose it again next time we're in Salzburg.

Arrived on 11.06.2023 at around 3 am. Sent an email before hand that we would be arriving at said time via train. When we got to the hostel, check in counter was not manned with sign to call reception phone. Tried calling phone number several times it did not connect, when it got through it went straight to voice mail. Been waiting for more than half an hour at 3 am, tired and exhausted from the journey when a group of drunk men entered the lobby and was gaining access to the bar which was also unmanned. They went behind the counter, opening the fridge with beers, it was only then when a very sleepy, exhausted and unapologetic staff appeared. Check in process took a long time since she even had to check if the room was ready, a room I already paid in advance for to reserve it since I knew we would be arriving after 6 pm - their cut off time for room reservation of free cancellation bookings.

Struttura moderna e pulita. Comodo parcheggio sulla terrazza per le auto. Camera spaziosa e ordinata. Vicino al centro in zona commerciale e industriale. Prezzo competitivo per la città sicuramente consigliato perchi passa in auto da qui.

Super friendly staff, great breakfast, wonderful wellness area with two saunas, steam room, swimming pool and a tea station. Little self-serviced convenience store by reception. A twenty minute drive to Salzburg. We really enjoyed our stay! Was an amazing wedding anniversary getaway!

I recently stayed at the newly renovated Schloss Fuschl, a hotel that boasts a truly breathtaking location near Salzburg. Nestled beside one of the most stunning lakes in the world, the natural beauty surrounding this property is nothing short of spectacular. The serene waters, framed by lush, rolling hills and vibrant greenery, create a picturesque backdrop that is almost otherworldly. It’s easy to lose yourself in the tranquil environment, with the glistening lake reflecting the sky and the calmness of nature seeping into your soul. The decor of the hotel itself is exceptional, seamlessly blending modern luxury with classic charm, making it a feast for the eyes at every turn. However, despite the unparalleled beauty of the setting and the impressive decor, the experience at Schloss Fuschl was unfortunately marred by significant issues with service. The hotel, having opened only a month ago, clearly needed a soft opening period to address operational inefficiencies before welcoming outside guests. The service was disorganized, with staff morale appearing to be notably low. This led to an experience that fell far short of the standards one would expect from a Rosewood property, especially given the exorbitant cost of staying here. Upon arrival, we made our way to the dock, hoping to enjoy the remaining daylight by the lake. Unfortunately, the dock was filthy, littered with dirty towels and dishes, and there was no staff member in sight to assist us. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing, particularly given that there were still several hours of daylight left to enjoy the lake. The unkempt state of such a central part of the hotel’s outdoor experience was unacceptable. Dinner was another disappointing experience. The restaurant was packed with outside guests, making it nearly impossible for us, as hotel guests, to find a proper table. We were forced to sit at the bar while waiting, and even after the restaurant cleared out, no one came to offer us a table. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive, consistently telling us they were too busy whenever we tried to place a drink or food order. Upon further observation, it was clear that the front management had set the servers up for failure, which is inexcusable. While I understand that new openings can come with challenges, the issues at Schloss Fuschl go beyond typical growing pains. The service problems are severe enough to detract from the overall experience, making it difficult to enjoy the hotel’s otherwise outstanding location and decor. The Rosewood brand is known for its impeccable service, but unfortunately, this property falls short of that reputation. For travelers considering a stay here, I would recommend canceling your reservation if you are still within your cancellation window. Stayed overnight when driving through to Croatia. Lovely scenic location. Staff pleasant and polite on checking in and out. Room clean, however not keen on the modern look, as no where to hang clothes properly. Next to the hotel is a burger king which has put me off eating one again. Breakfast was 20 euros which in no way was it worth that. If we didn't have such a long drive ahead of us we would not have bothered.
