This is a European chain hotel. The overall service and location are very good. Because I have children, the hotel upgraded my room for free. The location➕room facilities➕the kitchen is the highlight. We fried steak in the room and downstairs The bustling old street feels good. There are many places to have breakfast nearby and they are not expensive, so it is okay not to bring breakfast.

Lovely hotel in the middle of old town Salzburg. Great location. Lovely room with all required amenities. Room was a bit warm for us and we couldn’t work out how to change the settings. Reception was manned daily from 8 - 5pm to help with queries such as these and the receptionist was lovely. Kitchen facilities helpful for a quick breakfast, tea and coffee. Washer and dryer in the basement for 50 cents - 50 cents wasn’t enough to dry my clothes, but I probably chose the wrong setting given the instructions were not in English.

Salzburg is always very entertaining, many churches and sights, very original restaurants, a very interesting tour of the fortress, a beautiful hike on the Kapuzinerberg, market visits, the state theater and organ concerts, to name just a few highlights.
