Price-performance ratio is ok, depending on which room you get assigned.
The cleaning staff of the room still has a lot of room for improvement.
The breakfast staff tries hard but could be trained better.
The reception staff is great.
The bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and bathrobes are of very good quality.
The equipment of the rooms is very good.
Unfortunately there is no wellness area.
Parking is a problem and there is no cooperation with a parking garage.
The breakfast buffet is very generous and I had one of my favorite tomato omelets - it was perfect!
The Hotel Goldener Hirsch, a luxury hotel in Salzburg, epitomizes exceptional hospitality and celebrated tradition. Dating back to 1407, it embodies an enduring symbiosis between the original country house and luxury historic hotel, woven into the very fabric of Salzburg life.Located just steps away from Mozart’s birthplace, we're a Salzburg hotel in old town, inhabiting the city's fairy tale setting with natural grace. Defined by its hunting lodge heritage, trophies and mounted antlers populate the walls, whilst the crest of a leaping deer is a recurring presence. Smartly-dressed associates, wearing uniforms reminiscent of national Tracht, welcome guests with a rare warmth that resonates across generations.Worried about leaving your furry friends behind? Bring them along! Our hotel is pet friendly and welcomes trained pets. Whether traveling with family or your special someone, our hotel in Salzburg, Austria is a perfect choice.

The highlight of this 600-year-old hotel is the service. The front desk or restaurant service is excellent. Professional service. Many high-end hotels have it. But this one makes people feel particularly sincere. Every word and every sentence they listen to and answer carefully and surpasses expectations. You do a good job, for example, when you see me have a bunch of coins at checkout, I will take the initiative to change the whole amount of money. I consult the trip to Munich and immediately help me find out and print out a list of the specific situation, which company bought the tickets How to get to the station ticket office
Breakfast is average, but children are free (my child is 9 and a half years old) If you do not want to eat, there are McDonald's and Starbucks a few steps away, but the environment is always good
One of the hotel's restaurants is the local one. It is the first recommendation on the lonely planet, so dinner can be solved at the hotel every day. One big one, two small juices, one soup, two main courses. Tips are not included. The service is great. Up

The hotel is in a very good location. You can reach the old town through the tunnel. There are many attractions and you can walk there. The transportation is also convenient. There is a bus stop at the door. The front desk is friendly. Although the room is small, the hygiene is also good. The Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel is very delicious. The Fujian boss lady cooks delicious dishes, which satisfies the Chinese stomach. Salzburg's Mirabell Palace and the castle fortress are highly recommended

The hotel is in an excellent location, just 100 meters away from Mirabell Gardens and Mozart's former residence. The staff speaks fluent English and is very enthusiastic. They greet everyone politely. The room is not big but very exquisite. The details are well decorated. I ordered room service for breakfast, which is cheaper than the hotel breakfast!

Stopping in Salzburg to check out Mozart place before driving to Vienna and we found this hotel from website. It looked beautiful so decided to stay overnight.
Beautiful setting indeed overlooking the lake. The place is huge and we find many outdoor areas are not well maintained, probably because it’s winter or the site is simply too big to manage.
Breakfast at the dining hall is grand and service was cheerful. Overall a pleasant stay.

Near train station and bus stops, nice restaurants nearby, also a supermarket at the corner of the street. Overall very convenient. Room bit small and dim. Very appreciate of the small treats at lobby and friendly staff.

This hotel's location is excellent. It is about 15 minutes walk to the old town centre and 10 minutes to the railway station. The meeting point for local tours to Hallstatt and other places is just around the corner. The reception staff are always attentive and polite. They have greeted me with a smile whenever they saw me. The restaurant Mirabelle's Italian cuisine is one of the best I have ever tasted. The staff there are very welcoming and caring. The hotel's room service delivered very good food at a reasonable price too. The room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the noise of the vehicle clearing rubbish bins. It always woke me up before six in the morning. So choose the rooms on the garden side if there is a choice.

1. The hotel forgot to clean our room when we left the room at 2:30pm with the cleaning notification turned on.
We have to wait another 30minutes at the lounge bar when we got back at 10:00pm late at night.
2. The electric kettle we requested from the hotel is with a lot of water stain. in such case i didn't drink the water boiled from the kettle.
3. Overall the reception's service attitude is good.
4. the suite doesn't have the view which cannot be told from the booking info page.
5. the cleaner staff forgot to refill some drinking water when finished cleaning the room. no water to drink.

Strategically located hotel, cleanliness and rich and satisfying breakfast.
Unfortunately, staying at this hotel was one that I had to have an unpleasant situation every day such as:
-I ran out of water in the room, the receptionist with Asian features informed me that only by buying 2 bottles of water (which cost me €9 or something) with a bored and indignant tone I can have water in the room. The next day going to breakfast I saw by myself that in the lobby of the hotel they have courtesy lemon water in a big jar.
- Unclear information received from reception
I missed breakfast because I was not informed that breakfast is at different times on certain days.
- Lack of clear communication between the cleaning staff and those at the reception: non-functional hair dryer in the room, changed after 4 days and still functional in the room. The hair dryer could not be changed because the technician only worked on Monday and on Thursday evening I noticed that it was not working. So I had to buy a hair dryer(€48- I couldn't find anything cheaper) I had the possibility to change the room but I was already tired because I had changed a room because of the noise from the street.
- Rooms with a view to the street, to the front of the hotel, are uncomfortable because with the closing of the windows you can still hear the noise in the room from the cars.
The only receptionist who was professional and empathetic was Anna and who managed to solve my minimum requirements.

The hotel room looks longer than in the photos, it is generally clean, and it takes 20 minutes to walk to the old town.
There is a supermarket next to the hotel with curtains open
There is a bathtub in the toilet, and there is a small gym room in the hotel. There are not many restaurants near the hotel, so it is recommended to book breakfast at the hotel.
The streets of Salzburg are sparsely populated after six o'clock. It is recommended to go back to the hotel in the old town earlier as it feels safer.
I didn’t want to take photos when the hotel room was too long, so I didn’t upload any photos.

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful experience in this B&B. The room was clean, which echoed with all the reviews here. You could experience the passion and perseverance of the owners in keeping everything not only neat and tidy, but amazingly dustless and spotless! If you look at the mirror, and the tissue box in the toilet, the level of shine and reflection is at its top! The bed was big and comfortable. The design of the room was modern. Tea and coffee are available inside the room.
Breakfast comprised of a wide variety of fresh fruits chopped into small cubes and delicately put into little cocktail glasses, all sorts of bread, yoghurt, ham, spreads. Alex would welcome all customers warmly with offerings of coffee, tea and eggs that were made by him. I saw on reviews that he made perfect eggs and it was really true! The fried eggs that I ordered were prepared with crispy edges, what a morning delight!
All the details and passion ( and the amount of time and dedication one can imagine) that this family put into this B&B deserve a 5-star rating. From its hardware to attitude, this is the best I have ever experienced as a tourist.
携携程旅行顾问JoaLooking at the high-net commentary, I finally saw the charm of the front desk elder sister, warm and cheerful, humorous and intimate. One seems to have settled the hotel's work. I saw that we had arranged two large rooms and introduced the room personally. In-house facilities and usage, proud to tell you that these functions are made in Germany, not only send a gift bag in each room, but also tell you that all the drinks in the refrigerator are free, and the service attitude is the best in the entire Eastern European line. However, there is no air conditioning in the room. It is estimated that the old building cannot be installed. Only Dyson's fan, the room we stayed in is still a bit stuffy! There are three large windows in the friend's room, which is well ventilated and more comfortable than us!
AAi LingThe location is good for me, as it is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from the main train and bus terminal. This made it incredibly easy for me to explore the city and access transportation without any hassle.
The area surrounding the hotel is vibrant, with plenty of shops and eateries nearby, adding to the overall convenience of the stay.
The room itself was decent, offering a comfortable stay. However, the only downside was the lack of a table in the room, which would have been useful for working or dining.
GGuest UserPool and fitness centre was great-refreshing to have a swim after long days of walking.
Close to main train station and 20-30 min walk to Salzburg old town!
On arrival hairs on bathroom floor from previous guest.
I got walked in on around 9.15am as i was getting changed by hotel staff- they did not knock and it wasn’t near or after check out time - wasn’t impressed!! I checked out on time. - then my room should have been checked/cleaned.
GGuest UserThe bus to Salzburg is only 15 minutes away, but there are several buses going at the same time, and Hellbrunn or Cable Kata are both on the mountain, so if you have a timetable to go there, you can stay in the hotel, especially if you travel from Take the Flix or Leo bus in Prague or elsewhere. This is the direction from the station to the city, so you can find accommodation earlier because the accommodation is earlier than the city. The staff are friendly and it rains a lot in Salzgan, so I rented an umbrella from the hotel and used it well. The disadvantage is that it is air-conditioned, so I chose this type of accommodation, which is usually not what we think it is, but a fan-like device.
Please note that air conditioning is installed. However, it rained on the day we went, so that air conditioning was not needed. Opening the window and blowing the wind is much cooler than opening the air conditioner. You can open the window, because there are no mosquitoes, it doesn't matter. In addition to the disappointment with the air conditioning, the price is cheaper than the accommodation in Salzburg, so you can take the bus.
GGuest UserThe room was very comfortable, very close to the station, just a short walk, the heating was sufficient, the sound insulation was good, and the English communication was no problem. Local accommodations need to be paid separately (for a total of 3.1) for taxes and fees.
SSKMCarmenDidn’t really have a good experience on this but thank god Trip did compensate a small fee. The room is good, the hotel is good BUT whoever that has booked please read this:-
1. Make sure they send you a pin code to enter the hotel at least 3 days before or else keep emailing and calling before you reach. There is no workers all automated if you reach and have no code to enter you are stranded! Yes there is a phone to call but Im not sure why the phone doesn’t work properly!! I called 7 times only to 1 time they pick up. And finally after waiting in the cold for 30 mins they let me know the pin code to enter. Its very hard to contact the hotel maybe because im not using local phone number. Contacted trip and they themselves couldn’t contact them in time. According to the hotel, there should be an email from them with instructions and code.
2. Yes, I do love the concept of having no one to check in but at least leave like an ipad or a screen for guest to check and contact???
3. Rooms were nice, blinds were automatic. Clean and have smart tv. They do have elevators thank god.
Besides the ‘PIN number’ enter check in, its all good.
Aam HoHotel location is quite convenient within walking distance from metro. There is a bus stop near the hotel too.
The main entrance is slightly away from the main road so actually not easy to spot.
We checked in quite late and there is no one at the counter which we find it a bit unusual though we could hear someone talking.
Overall the staff is fine, willing to explain where we could go for sightseeing, which bus stop has the ticket machine, even suggest us to buy a 24hr ticket so we saved the hassle to keep buy bus/metro tickets.
AAnonymous UserThe bed, blanket and pillow are very comfortable.
I had a very good sleep.
However, there is no privacy because there is no cover up curtain for every bed.
And also no in room locker provider.
Additionally, the bathroom does not have an air vantilator, I barely can't breathe.
Beside than that, over all are good.
The entire system is just like a hotel.
