It is located right at the historic centre. The owner upgrades my room with good sunset view of the sea. The posada does not have lift but the owner was kind enough to help bringing my luggage up to 3/F. English is not spoken. Breakfast has little choices but enough to fill my stomach.

Well located, but tired premises. Somewhere between a hostel & a hotel. The room we stayed in was very tired & very steep stairs (60 ) with no lift. Excellent location 5 minutes from the square

I reserved a room with a view of the sea or the city, and did not get that. Also, I needed internet to work, and the internet was awful. The next morning, I explained to the man at reception and he said I was given a room because the stairs were too hard to climb (We are young and fit, not sure what the problem with the stairs was). So I left two nights early, and the Pousada refused to give me a refund. And the man at reception was condescending to boot. I do not recommend this Pousada at all. There are way better--CLEANER--ones nearby with views.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the museums and the square. The staff were helpful as well. Breakfast was adequate but basic. The main issues with our stay related to the hygiene of our room. When we arrived, the shower/bathroom had not been cleaned properly - there were hairs all over the floor and walls. The bathroom was very small, and the toilet rarely flushed properly. The beds were very uncomfortable and the noise from the street was very loud. Overall, the location was superb but we wouldn't stay again

Old and poorly maintained pousada. The room we had was horrible: just a bottom sheet and a kind of fouta above, crumbling walls, old windows, furniture worn by humidity, rusty fridge, noisy air conditioning, TV from another age on only one channel and still with bad reception. Ah the welcome is with a smile but what a scam!! We had paid in advance for 4 nights and left without asking for our rest after the first night! In addition it is very noisy and poorly insulated.
