The hotel environment is very good, breakfast and dinner are included, and the price/performance ratio is relatively high. Five minutes walk from Ferrari Park. I didn't make it in time to have dinner at the hotel on the first day. After calling us, the front desk clerk prepared a sumptuous dinner for us and delivered it to the room. The service attitude was super good. It was a great experience to enjoy the song and dance performance downstairs while having dinner. !

We came last year in 2023 and really enjoyed it and decided to come back again for a bit longer (11 nights). Great experience again, we thought some of the breakfast had changed from the year before (had a lot more muffins/cakes last year which were brill. They did seem to come out towards the end of our trip. Animation - Antonio amazing. Never failed to get us involved in anything and I would say he made the trip even better and the atmosphere of the pool area. All in all another great holiday and we are glad we came back and would happily come back again in the future as it is a great base for Portaventura!

Hotel was very clean and a great location and after lunch always managed to get a sunbed which was great, disappointed that the room didn't have a kettle, my fault didn't read the room description, you could hire 1 from reception but I wouldnt! 1st hotel ever not to have one for me. . Wasn't the best food I've had, alot was cold by the time you got back to the table, hotel was not a 4 * more of a 3, policy in dining room on an evening was not implemented ref clothing, guys and women in swimming shorts, flipflops ect so not a 4* Price was right for an extra holiday for us but honestly if I'd saved hard all year for this 4* hotel I would of been disappointed

The Salauris Palace is far from a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in better 2 star motels in America! How these hotels get away with calling themselves 4 star is beyond me. This is a long rant about the hotel but if like me you have spent over £2000 on your Jet2 holiday then you should at least be aware so you can make an informed decision on whether to stay here. I don’t like being as negative about a hotel but £2000 is a lot of money to spend on what is a 3 star hotel at best. The location is the only reason to stay here. The decor is old. The grout in the bathroom is horrendous. The cracks in the walls. Bring insect repellent for the ants living in the bathroom. The ants are everywhere. We have been quite badly bitten but I cannot totally blame the hotel. We were out and about a lot and may have been bitten outside of hotel. I didn’t find any ants on the beds during my stay however the bathroom was extremely bad prior to spraying. Noise Do not visit the Salauris palace if you are looking peace and quiet. I stayed in room 154 and the noise in the evenings was unbearable. Earplugs were the first purchase the next morning. To be slightly fair the noise from the entertainment doesn’t go on beyond 11 ish most night however the noise from the other rooms and hallway and the road soon takeover. Do not stay in this room or any rooms near it if you have young kids that you will need to get to sleep before 11pm. It was a battle for us most night and in the end we had to use earphones to get our child to sleep. Smoking It bills itself as 100% smoke free however they provide an ashtray on the balcony! Im sure they technically mean 100% inside the hotel is smoke free but the balconies you can smoke freely which of course means you can’t use your balcony as you will eventually have a smoke smell clinging to your clothes. I found this out the hard way after leaving a pair of shorts out on the rusty dryer that is bolted to the balcony. They still stink of smoke 4 days into holiday. They also say no smoking around pool however again zero enforcement and you will find yourself at the mercy of how ignorant a smoker you will have beside you. Some smokers at the Salauris seem to have some kind of manners and make an effort not to smoke around you and your 5 year old but they are few and far between and most don’t care. They do have a smoking spot conveniently located at the steps out of the hotel lobby, meaning the you will have to walk through a stench of smoke with your family to get to the pool. Room amenities I have stayed in numerous hotels in the UK and USA. I haven’t stayed in as many Spanish hotels but I think it’s totally strange that you have zero coffee or tea making facilities in your room. Maybe this is a European thing I’m not sure but again for 4 stars I want to be able to make a coffee. There is a “fridge”. It’s really just a cupboard to store your drinks. It will not keep anything cold at all. Food Having chosen the half board option I kne

Just home from a fabulous stay at H10 Salauris Palace. Room was lovely and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Only downside is that the balconies are a bit high and cannot see over. Staff here are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Special mention to the waiter round the pool on our last day (7/9) . The only downside would the that the food wasn’t always as warm as could be. However would definitely recommend this hotel. Missing sitting round the pool seeing people enjoying themselves

Great Hotel and location The food is good and worth the money(we stayed half board). Tips. Take a plug socket extension lead. only 2 plugs in room so trying to have chargers, hairdryer etc is a pain unless you take one. There is shampoo, conditioner, shower gel in rooms that gets filled up and good quality. So save space in your case. . Ask for a lower floor room. The lifts are a nightmare! Always queuing and only 2 lifts per half a hotel, so at meal times especially you have to walk up and down or wait for ages. Order 2 drinks at a time at the evening entertainment as the queue for the bar can get ridiculous. Take Mossie spray ! Sunbeds - they have a rule if you leave your bed between 9 and 1pm then they take your towels away. They do put a card on your bed and then if you haven’t returned in 15/20 mins they WILL take your things away. However, we seen plenty of times , people in the pool playing with kids and towels being taken and then families lost their beds to other people causing arguments and frustration. On some occasions the big tall guy who is the usher in the reception walks out and takes towels without even putting cards down 1st. The hotel says there are enough beds for everyone, but there is not. We saw People sit on the white plastic chairs waiting for beds to come up or even grass on people who have left the beds to go to breakfast, so that they can have there bed when the staff take the towels. Basically if you want a bed, you have to queue at 8;30 for the doors to open at 9am. Run and get beds. Then stay on your bed while your Mrs goes to breakfast then swap over and go to breakfast on your own otherwise you lose the bed.. which works, but a shame as you don’t get breakfast together unless you go for breakfast before 9 together then get the beds. It does spoil the stay, but I understand why they do it, to stop the early morning sunbed claims … but they need to ensure people aren’t actually in the pool or at the bar or playing the many games with the entertainment team, before they whip your towels away. I’m not sure if we would stay again. The food and entertainment is good. But the lifts and the sunbeds make it stressful when you want to chill on holiday and not be setting an alarm to get up for a sunbed. I know the hotel will say they have enough sunbeds on reply to this review, but they have 351 rooms , there isn’t even 350 sunbeds( I counted) , so if 1 person was staying in each room never mind couples and families staying in each room there would never be enough. Good hotel - left 4 stars for the rooms, entertainment team(amazing) and the food. Let down by the issues I have mentioned.

As regular travellers, this is our 5th visit to an H10 hotel as our kids love Daisy and the animation teams. It’s A nice hotel, pleasant environment with great food. The staff are excellent and Dani from the animation team was fantastic with our two kids. The selection of food was excellent, catering for vegetarian and other dietary requirements with plenty of coffee machines at breakfast- void of tea making queues unlike other areas of the hotel. Enter the sunbed wars! The sunbed situation is ridiculous. The hotel needs to stop these clowns queuing from 7:45 for a sunbed. One previous hotel we visited of a similar size had a lot more sunbeds and no defined opening time. This meant there was no queue and after I run in the morning I could grab an early morning swim before breakfast! Not here! Please management, stop the queue, buy more sunbeds and just open the pool. The hotel itself is close to nearby shops, the beach and within walking distance to PortAventura theme park , which we visited twice. We went out for lunch to a few places , with several being a rip off. The best value for a quick snack being the cafe at the front of Michelangelo supermarket next to the H10 princessesa. Would I return? Possibly, but probably at a less busier period. The experience in Salou has really put us off the package holiday style of holiday where sheep queue up for sunbeds!

Decent hotel with a great location to both the beach and PortAventura. However, the place is painfully slow. Each bar area/food area would have one staff member most of the time. Waited 45 mins for a pizza and 2 chips. The lifts are also very slow and pretty cramped. If you can, you’re better off taking the stairs. The food for breakfast/dinner is ok but too many times I’ve had to change my knife and fork, plate or glass because they haven’t been cleaned properly. The worst part about this hotel is the cleaners. They come around everyday at around 8:50. Sure this isn’t very early but they should very loudly at each other in the corridor which echos throughout the entire floor. They have absolutely no thought of anyone who could be sleeping and there’s no chance you can sleep past this time. Asked them to be quiet and they just continued to scream in the corridor. As well as this, it’s nice getting your bed made everyday but that’s about all they do. They’ll make your bed, empty your bin and replace your towels. The floor was never cleaned during our stay. I guess they judge the cleanliness by just looking at it because you could feel dirt when walking in your bare feet and was never cleaned. Overall it’s a good hotel because of its location and most of the staff are lovely. The animation team provide good entertainment but for the price, a lot of things need improving.

We visited here as a family of 4 and the end of May/ beginning of June this year. The rooms where over all clean. They’re was a change of clean bedding once in our stay. Bathroom was cleaned properly every day. However the floor was never mopped during our stay in the room. The main hotel was cleaned every morning. Pool area was clean but you can not smoke around the pool or have any inflatables in the pool. I think this is across the whole of Spain. When we went the pool was too cold to go in yet there was still a struggle to get a sunbed. I can only imagine what it will be like in peak season. However, the manger did often come round and those who had just left their towels and were not round the pool were taken. We went half board and did use the pool bar for lunch which was nice. They did a range of ‘snacky’ food such as pizzas, chips, club sandwiches etc. The drinks were all fairly priced around the pool and in the hotel. €2 ish for a coke, and around €3 for a beer. The food in the hotel was okay. Breakfast was nice. Has an omelette station which are made in front of you and the usual fried breakfasts, fruit and yogurt. The evening meal was hit and miss and we did eat out due to this. Ino when you go on holiday the food included can be very mix and match but this was very hard to make a meal. For example nights they would be no chips but have hot dogs on with mash? Pasta sauce in a pan but no pasta? The food on an evening was sometimes lukewarm. The location of this hotel was very good and convenient, about a 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants, 15 minutes and just over a 10 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of supermarkets near by. Overall we would stay at this hotel again. However, we probably would just stay bed and breakfast or even try another H10 hotel in Salou.
