Hotel Cala Font

Our room was not ready on time and I had to stay in a different room from my wife & kids for the first night. This is our last day here and we still didn't get the room we paid for which was supposed to be two double beds. Instead we got onw double and they brought up a single bed the next day which weve had to make do with. Cleaning staff left our room door open while we were out at theme paek all day TWICE in three days. After raising this to management the second time they basically just said 'sorry wont happen again', which is what they said the first time.. No compensation for this massive breach as well. Not so much as a free water offered, all the other problems mentioned I'd have forgiven but this was an especially egregious breach of security/privacy when our room door being completely ajar for hours is the first thing you see coming out of the lift Bedclothes changed only after 5 days and every day something had discolouring and stains/looked unclean like towel, pillowcases etc. Every other plate/mug you lift at the all-inclusive will have food stuck to it and if you arrive even 20 mins after start time every plate will be dripping wet. There is no laundry place nearby and they take full advantage of this by charging about 5 euro to 'wash' a single item and its only a rinse cycle with no detergent and you will get your clothes back smelly and damp. Theres also no differentiation between adult and child clothing, full price for all. This happened both times I used their 'laundry service'. Even if you pay for all inclusive you cannot bring your own water in and MUST buy from them at a ridiculous 500% markup compared to local shops and zero tap water available (if you even wanted to drink it). You can't even but a drink at this hotels own bar and bring it into the restaurant even though its the same hotel. Some staff nice some rude. The shop INSIDE the hotel sells childrens floats which the lifeguards of the very same pool will tell off your children for using - in which case why are they allowed to be sold? Not a lot for children to do. The food of the all-inclusive was okay but nothing special, some items were great like the chicken shashlik and the wings & hake. Others were quite bad like the pastas. One day burgers were on the menu and every single one was exteremely undercooked, it was actually comical to look across and see virtually every table that had a burger was almost completely untouched bar the first bite. The inside wasnt just a bit pinkish it was literally completely raw vibrant pink cold mince.

Lovely hotel, below average food, fabulous location, well cleaned and serviced. The lifeguard who is mostly on his phone only looks up to tell the children to get the inflatables out of the pool despite selling them in the hotels minimarket! Then not telling the adults off if they're in with inflatables. Very little by way of poolside entertainment but that may suit some folk. We came late May and was a bit disappointed in the lack of children's entertainment. Well worth a walk along the coastal path towards Salou, plenty of sandy coves to discover even if you don't get all the way to Salou. The hotel is in a beautiful area. We went for lots of walks and the only thing we would say is we wish there was some 'traditional' Spanish bars/restaurants. Overall we had a pleasant stay but perhaps wouldn't return to this hotel.

This was my second visit to hotel Cala font and it was a great experience.The hotel is very clean and in an excellent location for a peaceful break away.The staff are very friendly and helpful.I travel with my young daughter and this is a nice safe place to go.I will definitely be back soon.

Visited July 2023. Great for the family. Rooms were clean, basic with a nice seaview from balcony especially at night. Food was ok…lots of options. Poolside bar had nice cocktails and snacks for the kids. Pool was well kept and entertaining - volleyball was great everyone got involved. Music was good. Kids loved it. Hotel shop had sliders and swimwear reasonably priced. Small local shop nearby for toiletries. A few restaurants nearby with good food very affordable.

We stayed here for a long weekend on a B and B basis. Lovely position overlooking the bay, worth taking a sea view room. Rooms bright and airy and very clean. Large bar area and cantina style restaurant, buffet presentation. Lovely walk to Salou taking a well defined path by the sea.

We really enjoyed our week here, it would have been 5 stars were it not for the position of the room, stuck at the back with little to no view to speak of. The food was pretty great, I’m now on a strict diet and the staff all lovely, given how many rude ungrateful people I watched them have deal with, the lady on duty by the restaurant door was so nice but the housekeepers were extra special and would always spruce the room up, change towels and make up the bed if we didn’t put the sign on the door, I think they’d be in every day if we’d let them We went to Salou and Cambrils separately using the public bus and loved going down to swim in the sea. I’d return in a heartbeat if promised a better view lol
