The bad reviews are too harsh this hotel was unreal the staff were lovely and always made us feel welcomed. When we got into our room it was completely spotless not a single flaw anywhere I went with my mum and myself and we loved it the view from our room was amazing and we could see the pool and it was always cleaned every morning. my favourite was the food there was a variety of food and you could pick what you liked and didn’t like. The desert was pretty good you could choose to add extras like sprinkles and for breakfast there was so much that we loved you were able to add chocolate or toffee onto your pastry’s and there was a large selection. Its not too far from the shops but it is a little bit of a walk. This place was a bit out of our price range but it was worth it and I will definitely be coming back again

Stunning, family friendly hotel just a stones throw away from portaventura, the main ***** and beach. Very clean hotel, beautiful food and a great kids club with activities in the morning, afternoon and evening. Added bonus, no rush needed here for the sun loungers. Highly recommend!!

I stayed at the Sol Costa Daurada for four nights at the end of April 2024 with my wife and son. The hotel is very close to Port Aventura theme park and the train station. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff at the reception who spoke English well. Our room was not ready when we arrived however we did arrive before 2pm so it was to be expected. When we did get in to our room it was clean and of a standard size. We had a mini fridge to keep our drinks cool and a fairly spacious bathroom. As mentioned in other reviews the noise from neighbouring rooms could be quite noisy and we could hear the television blaring from next door rooms. The hotel has a decent sized outdoor swimming pool that wasn't too busy during our stay as the water was pretty cold. There is a bar at the pool where you can buy drinks and snacks and the staff there were really good fun. There is an indoor pool but the opening times appear to be restricted and you must wear a swimming cap when using this pool. The main hotel restaurant where we had breakfast and dinner was clean and spacious with views looking over the pool. The food on offer was good and there were plenty of options each night. A special mention to Rosi who works at the restaurant entrance who was lovely and even managed to find a table for us when we arrived slightly late for dinner due to a delayed train from Barcelona. Thank you Rosi! We travelled in to Salou town a few times and it was around a 15 minute walk from the hotel, the train station nearby is a 10 minute walk and we used this line to travel to Barcelona for the day. The main reason we stayed in this hotel was it proximity to Port Aventura theme park which we visited twice during our stay. It was around 10 minutes from Hotel to park entrance and was easy to walk. The hotel seems to be popular with school trips from France and Spain and there were a few large groups in the hotel during our stay however I found them to be polite and courteous. In summary this was an ideal location for a short family break in Salou and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Arrived around 21:00 and checking was easy. Room was spotless. Additional blankets were given. We were on 5th floor with a view of the roller coster. We ate in the hotel that night and the food although a limited selection was good. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the WiFi access was free and good. We didn’t get to use the outside pool as it was freezing still. We booked this hotel as it had an indoor pool. This pool was small and only available from 5pm to 8pm. It was crowded and therefore noisy. And the noise was added to by the reception person continuously blowing his whistle. All over a great hotel left down by the access times to the indoor pool.

The stay was okay. It was perfectly clean, pillows comfy, shower very powerful. A huge downside is how thin the walls are. You can hear everything. Doors constantly slamming, babies crying and loud groups of people in rooms shouting and laughing. A good thing is how close it is to Port Aventura. With how long the theme park day is, I’d avoid this hotel and choose another close in the area as there are a few, mainly because you won’t get much sleep (especially over a weekend)

Okay honest review here the hotel from the outsider looks really nice. Lobby and corridors smells lovely. Rooms are quite basic. But what do you expect when your paying less than £100 a day for a family room good side Our room gets cleaned every day, downside bathroom needs updating i’d say shower head has this pouring bucket water on you and bed slightly noisy😅. Breakfast has a lot of choices. We like it 👍. Location perfect! 👌 Walking distance from the beach and to the theme park. Swimming pool slightly on a cooler side but it better when your sun bathing to cool off. No AC since they don't turn on the AC till May. But no problem during the night we just leave the balcony door open and the breeze at night makes the temperature of the room perfect. Staff was very helpful and super friendly Anya at the front desk. And I’d like to mentioned Allan and Tonin the bartender my husband would go to the bar have a pint of beer to just say hi to his new friends 😆. Over all we had an amazing time in this place. We hope that the next time we come back they got updated rooms. British people wont mind paying extras if standards are met.

The standard of accommodation is excellent, the bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable, the public areas are well looked after. The food on offer in the buffet restaurant is exceptional, the staff are really pleasant and attentive Two minor ******* no table on the balcony and the balcony lights were controlled centraly and not by us, (we like to read on the balcony while our young charge goes to sleet) overall can't recommend this hotel enough !!

Fantastically clean, the lobby area always smelt beautiful. Perfectly located to Portaventura theme park. About a 20/30 minute walk. Absolutely delicious food, very fresh with a huge variety to suit all eaters. The pastries in the morning were fantastic and all the meats, fish and salads in the evening. Always fries available for the little ones and a great choice for all eaters. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The mini disco was a great extra, as we visited in the Easter holidays last year. My 3 year old loved this, the bar area was a nice, relaxing area and good fun with the mini disco. Would love to visit again in the near future with 2 kids next time :)
