From the moment we arrived on a rainy event until our morning departure, the attentive and responsive staff made each moment count. Hard to say this often, as service has become either lazy or pretentious— this hotel has managed to create a kind, personal and professional team that work together cheerfully and take their charming location to the next level! The views are incredible and each space, both indoor/outdoor is clean, creative and inviting! Dinner was simple, delicious, and great value—so refreshing to have a clean, fresh menu without distracting bells and whistles! Each bite was memorable. Breakfast was delightful, one of the best I’ve had in a very long time— made even better by the lovely young woman who took care of us! Don’t miss this gem over looking Lake Garda and take time to explore the local area as well!

Borgo il Mezzanino is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. Our adult family enjoyed one of the most relaxed and superbly catered for holidays ever. The setting is breathtaking. The staff are superb and the attention to detail is first rate. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully presented. The food was always first rate and so nicely presented. We would recommend this agri tourism place to anyone who has a love for the Italian countryside and historical charm.

This place is special. Up the hill from a very nice but slightly less well-frequented lakeside town of Salo, this bills itself as an ‘agro-touristic’ country house. This means it has great gardens and grounds, lots of beehives (the honey is served at breakfast and available to buy), olive oil and more. In proactive it’s a real contrast from the bustle of all the Garda places you’ll visit if you come here. It’s peaceful, very welcoming and slightly off the beaten path. There are only 9 rooms here and it’s located at the end of a narrow bumpy road. But it’s only 8 mins drive from the town. Rooms are small (our classic room didn’t really have enough space for two large suitcases, there was one wardrobe only and that didn’t even open properly because the door hit the bed). So initially I wasn’t best pleased but the place won me over. The gardens are really lovely and worth a stroll. There are horses and goats in the field next door. The landscaping is wonderful. Relaxing music is piped all over which normally would irritate me but it was really well chosen music and added to the ambience. There’s a very small pool too, which is nice to dip into on a warm afternoon. The welcoming staff are great and very helpful, although sometimes it can be hard to find someone. The restaurant is fabulous - have at least one dinner here. The view from the terrace is really nice too. You see a bit of the lake but lots of hills and trees. The place is very green. The hotel is finished to a high standard, although the rooms don’t have enough well- placed electric sockets that a modern high end hotel should have (I had to pull out a heavy bedside table to find the single socket, which then meant my wardrobe door wouldn’t even partly open. Yes, opening this wardrobe was a hassle). Yes, it’s a converted old country house so some allowances have to be made with the rooms, but not having plug points in this day and age is not really acceptable. But you forgive the place a few small issues as it’s just such a wonderful environment. It’s been a long time since I went to a hotel that actively made me smile constantly. Touring round Garda is lovely but it is busy. Coming back to Borgo is a real treat.

wonderful location, a state-of-the-art building renovation of a historic villa! taste, elegance and refinement, from the furnishings, to the scents of Lake Garda that intoxicated every room! excellent presentation of the dishes in tastings that are a must try, their wine and limoncello gin are very good ... The staff is attentive and available to any customer need, they even remembered the name of our dog ... everything made the difference! not only will we be back but it will be our wedding present for a couple of our friends!!!

I stayed one night in this property and I must say that I was impressed far beyond my expectations. The cleanliness, the beauty of every corner, the precision of the gardens, the attention to detail strike you at first glance. Then the wonder continues to increase as you descend the stairs of the beautiful villa, stroll on the gravelled terrace, and sunday by the pool. I also tried the private spa, a real treat. And I particularly liked the dinner at the Terrazza restaurant. Special mention goes to Bettina, who was priceless in her welcome, in the service at the table and at the bar, in the breakfast and who was unsurpassed for her kindness and love towards her work. Letting me dine in a private corner laid out with care and elegance was the icing on the cake. Thank you very much for everything and I hope to return soon.

The Borgo is charming and well located. The main feature is the tranquillity, which shouldn't be underestimated at all. The restaurant is of a good standard, I would improve the presentation of the dishes by the dining room staff, it's worth it. The staff is still exquisite, it must be said. Too bad for the wine proposal which in our opinion was of a lower level than the gastronomic one. It is good to consider that the swimming pool does not exist if one imagines - as normal - a place where you spend time and swim a bit, because more than "mini" it is "micro", however the dedicated area is a good point of Relax. Many services, all for a fee. Would justify the price more if something was included in the cost of the room.

The structure canceled our reservation two days before giving summary and not very credible explanations - such as that the rooms would collapse at any moment - while we then found out that the aforementioned rooms publicly hosted well-known Influencers who had been given obviously precedence. I strongly advise against relying on such vulgar behavioral ethics.
