Travelodge by Wyndham Salmon Arm

Although this is a hotel under the Travelodge brand, it turns out to be more like a basic motel. The actual condition is quite different from the photos shown. First of all, the room facilities are outdated. The lighting is inconsistent, with both warm and cool tones due to mismatched light bulbs. The window-type air conditioner produces a lot of noise. The TV couldn’t receive any signal, and the cleanliness was below expectations. Only about a quarter of the showerhead was functioning properly, and the fridge did not have a freezer compartment. The breakfast is just better than nothing. The only positive aspect was the friendly attitude of the front desk staff. Overall, considering the price, it was not worth the value.

Many mosquitoes

The smell of cigarette smoke was pervasive throughout the room, furniture and in the bathroom. Had I been allergic to it, i would not have been able to check in. My luggage and clothes now stink! Does the hotel not have or enforce a "no smoking" policy? I won't be booking with the hotel again any time soon!

Hotel and our room was advertised as non smoking however our room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. It was so bad that we didn't even bring our bags in as we knew everything would smell like cigarette smoke for the rest of the trip. We couldn't wear pajamas we slept in here for the rest of the trip due to the smell. The room itself was fine but the smell was unbearable. Front desk staff was lovely and helpful with late check in. However, they didn't do anything about our experience and just said it was probably guests in other rooms smoking near us.

Their shower head did not work very well. It was extremely old and dirty. The water sprayed in all different directions. The plug for the sink was broken. And I was totally okay with the fact that I forgot my swimsuit after I saw their facilities. The muffins at their breakfast were stale and dry.
