Booked this Premier Inn as it looked new and was ideal for what we were looking for. After travelling 7 hours to get to the hotel we were told by the receptionist that we were unable to book for a meal on the evening as there was no staff!! There was only the chef and receptionist on duty for the whole of the hotel and restaurant! So we went to McDonald’s as they were on the same site as hotel. Following night we ate in the restaurant. But again no staff. Food was poor and service the same. Had breakfast on the Sunday before leaving for a long journey home more staff on duty but the fried breakfast was not as good and nice as it could off been. It was dry and looked like it had been sitting under the heat server for some time. No receptionist on duty when we left to complain to. Stayed in a lot of premier inns over the last 20 years but WILL NOT be staying in them anymore. Very poor show.

Fabulous FoH staff, Excellent bed, amazing heat control, good choices for breakfast but chef seemed like he didn’t wanted to be there. He didn’t care about the food he was preparing, and we had only breakfast. We visit at the 28th of February and we had breakfast the 1st of March

Not the clean Premier Inn you expect....bedroom carpet not vacuumed it seems. I guess the supervisor has not done there job nor the cleaner....this is a lazy supervisor issue ....and very unlike Premier Inn where I stay very often and was also considering ordering beds from for home !

A great welcome and efficient check in. The room was great - clean, comfortable and quiet. I had dinner in the restaurant - the menu choices are fairly standard but the meal was delivered quickly - piping hot, good portion size, well presented and tasty.

I am writing to share my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Salisbury South Milford Premier Inn on the 14th-15th December 2024. I had booked four rooms (three doubles and one family room) for a family pre-Christmas break, but the experience fell well below my expectations. Room Allocation Upon check-in, I was allocated the family room, despite not being the one with a child in our group. Since we all checked in within 20 minutes of each other, it was surprising that this error wasn’t identified at the time. This was an inconvenience and a disappointing start to our stay. Dining Issues The primary reason for choosing Premier Inn was to enjoy a family dinner together during our stay. I had called in advance to book a table for seven, but at no point was I informed that the property does not have a proper restaurant. Instead, we discovered on arrival that there was only a small kitchen and a few tables near the reception desk. Our experience was further worsened by the unprofessional attitude of staff. Every time we ordered drinks, we were met with audible sighs and huffs, which made us feel unwelcome. With no proper bar or sit-down service, we had to approach the reception desk each time for refills or food orders. At around 5:30 PM, after spending over two hours in the reception area, we started looking at the menu only to be informed that there was a limited menu with numerous unavailable items. Even worse, there were no substitutions or price adjustments for the missing items. For example, the chicken sharing platter was served without garlic bread, but no alternative or price reduction was offered. If I had known this in advance, I could have arranged for my family to dine elsewhere. Instead, we were left with no choice but to bring in food from McDonald’s, which was incredibly disappointing. Room and Amenities While my room was clean, there were issues with basic amenities. The bathroom supplies were sparse, and when I asked for additional milk at reception, I was handed only two small cartons with the comment, “This is all I could find.” Unfortunately, when I used the milk to make tea, it was spoiled and contained mould, which was shocking and unacceptable. Overall Experience The poor service, limited dining options, and lack of communication regarding facilities completely undermined the purpose of our stay, which was to enjoy a stress-free family dinner. The dismissive attitude of staff and lack of proper amenities left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

Terrible sleep as noisy air conditioning and water system caused deep, loud hum which was unbearable. We had to leave 6.30am for a major op so didn’t have chance to complain in middle of night. Lack of sleep not good when my husband had long drive and we were told evening meal unlikely due to staffing. We were told best to go back into Salisbury. We did, this was extra driving, I can’t walk well and struggled on icy paths to find another restaurant which also cost us a lot more than what we had planned at hotel. My husband found mattress very uncomfortable and I’ve had no reply to my email pointing out the problems we encountered. Won’t use this hotel again.

We had a great experience here for two nights. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was made up with a cot just as we had requested. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. 😊 this location is great for free parking and links to Salisbury centre There is also a park & ride just around the corner. And although it is located on a busy road right next to a big shopping centre, we couldn’t hear any noise at night. We would definitely stay here again.
